    Technical Sales Engineer

    We are looking for a Sales Engineer to drive the business growth in East Africa. This is a challenging and interesting opportunity to grow in the most interesting and demanding market and be a part of a dynamic company that

    represents a bouquet of OEMs.

    The Sales Engineer is responsible for growing the overall Capital & Service sales and directly handling our manufacturing and energy sectors. The main focus area will be for the promotion of sales for electronics, mechanical, pneumatic, and other

    MRO industrial needs. This role will also cover sales of turnkey engineering projects across the East African market.

    He/ She will achieve the targets based on his drive, autonomy, and profound understanding of the customer’s needs. The job involves managing the business in terms of Sales management, Customer relationship management. The business is

    focused on selling Parts, Repair, Reconditioning, Upgrades, and any other value-added services in addition to new equipment. The market will be the East Africa region.

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    1. Sales Ownership - Order Intake responsibility for the Region
    2. Customer Ownership - Visit customers, Identify and Respond to their needs
    3. Responsible for superior customer experience
    4. Generate sales leads, assess customer requirements, contract negotiation, and sales closure
    5. Customer main focal point
    6. Responsible for Account Receivable
    7. Execute sales strategy across the Region (e.g. Sales planning, sales funnel, order intake monthly expectations, customer visit reports, quote Follow-up)
    8. Identify new customers/ prospects/ suspects
    9. Customer, Market, and Competitor intelligence
    10. Pricing strategy implementation across the Region
    11. Spotter for Project Sales I LO leads and support
    12. Close Cooperation with local team and principal company
    13. Responsible for quarterly sales forecasts on Order Intake For the Region
    14. Corporate governance. Secure full compliance with Global and Local Policies

    Qualification & experience

    1. Diploma in Mechanical Chemical Engineer with experience in working with manufacturing or energy industries.
    2. 5-10 years of working experience in Food industries like Brewery, Dairy, Food & Beverage processing plants, Avocado oil plants, Waste water treatment plants, Edible oil refineries, energy, etc. Proven track record in sales and negotiation especially within the Food Industry, Experience with Key Account Management.
