    Orthopaedic Technologist[1] - AN- Scale -KMTC 9 - 2 Posts

    Duties at this level will include: documenting of patient history and diagnosis; Examining the patient/client to determine the cause and level of disability; Prescribing, fabricating and assembling prosthetic/orthotic devices;  Preparing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices; Advising patients/clients on the importance of mobility and immobilization devices;  Screening patients/clients for the conditions that require rehabilitative services; Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; and Maintaining records of supplies.

    • Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology or its equivalent from a recognised institution;

    Duties at this level will include: planning, organizing repairs and maintenance of medical equipment; Managing medical engineering services; supervising, training and developing staff and students on attachment in the workshop; Ordering of spare parts and consumables;  calibration of equipment;  Preparing maintenance budgets, organization and planning of purchase of medical equipment/spare parts; Providing advice on technical aspects of medical equipment; and initiating maintenance and repair of equipment.

    Duties at this level will include assisting in: Preparing clients for collection of specimens; Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms/specimens for accuracy; Receiving/collecting labeling and registering specimens;  Setting up equipment and preparing reagents; Performing routine tests; Examining specimens; Writing and recording results; Disinfecting working tables; Transferring specimens for processing and analyzing; Dispatching the results for clinical management; and preparing stains.

    Occupational Therapist[1] - AN- Scale -KMTC 9

    Duties at this level will include:  Providing holistic, preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and palliative care using occupational therapy process in physical disabilities, paediatrics, sensory integration, mental health, geriatrics, ergonomics, homebased care, school health, specialized driver assessment, speech facilitation, hand therapy, neuro- developmental therapy; Carrying out clients educational functional and vocational assessments and formulating necessary interventions; Providing occupational therapy services to patients referred for occupational therapy in the college; Assessing patients’ needs including rehabilitation; and  verifying and maintaining information relating to patients.

    Radiology & Imaging Technologist [1] - AN- Scale -KMTC 9 - 5 Posts

    Duties at this level will include: Providing radiographic and imaging services in the college; Processing, verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; Preparing processing chemicals and processing of films; Carrying out proper and regular dusting and disinfecting of equipment and other accessories; Ordering and maintaining records of radiographic and photographic equipment and other supplies; and Managing radiation machines, equipment and accessories in the X-ray unit.

    •  Diploma in Radiography and Imaging or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;

    Chief Legal Officer - AN- Scale -KMTC 5

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -  Providing legal guidance on contractual and statutory obligations binding on the College; Providing and interpreting legal information, conducting training, and disseminating appropriate legal requirements to staff; Safeguarding the College’s interests and ensuring that they are adequately defended before the courts; Managing, reviewing, and monitoring the progress of all outstanding litigation;  Liaising with the College’s appointed Advocates to ensure they act in the College’s interest while handling cases on its behalf; Ensuring the College complies with constitutional, regulatory, and other relevant laws in force through the provision of legal advisory services and contractual risks are efficiently managed; Documenting and maintaining a record of all enforcement and compliance assignments undertaken by the College personnel and developing legal accountability structures in relation to enforcement of assignments;  Maintaining a Register of Regulations, Rules, Guidelines, and By-Laws that affect the College;  Drafting of the Legal College’s legal  regulations, rules, or guidelines;  Establishing and managing the College’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism; Developing the College’s proactive and preventive legal policies and strategies aimed at forestalling disputes, controversies, and litigation; Preparing, reviewing, and modifying contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities, and negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions;  Conducting legal due diligence on all prospective Lessees, Licencees, Partners or other third parties with whom the College is to enter a legal relationship with; and Developing and vetting policy papers and instruments with legal implications for approval by the Board. 

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: 

    • Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) years should have been in the grade of Senior Legal Officer or in a comparable position; 
    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognised institution; 
    • Post graduate Diploma in Law (Advocates Training Programme) from the Kenya School of Law; 
    • Membership of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK); 
    • Be admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya; 
    • Certificate in Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution; 
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and 
    • Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence in work performance and results.

    Administrative Officer - AN- Scale -KMTC 8 - 15 Posts

    Duties at this level will include: implementing administrative policies, guidelines and standards; coordinating staff working on the ground, space and office cleaning and
    ensuring provision of protective gear to minimize health risks; ensuring that office equipment and furniture are well maintained; supervising the general cleanliness of offices on a daily and weekly basis; managing office accommodation and space for staff; managing and allocating rooms to students; maintaining housing inventory; assisting in managing transport and logistics; and maintaining and updating furniture and office equipment inventory.
