Duties and Responsibilities 

• An Officer in this position shall perform duties and responsibilities such as 
• Installation and maintenance of computer systems, configuration of local Area  Network and wide area Network
• Developing and updating of computer systems, and caring out system analysis, design and program specification in liaison with user.
• Carrying out repair and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals, drawing up hardware specifications for ICT equipments, verification, validation and certification of ICT equipments. 
• Overseeing the process of configuration of ICT equipment.
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the management.  

Requirements for Appointment

• Kenya certificate of secondary education mean grade c plain with at least a C- in mathematics and English/ Kiswahili or its approved equivalent.
• A candidate must have a Higher Diploma or Diploma in any of the following fields Computer Science, ICT OR holder of ICT part III  ( kasneb) and served in the grade of Senior Assistant ICT Officer III  job group G or equivalent and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of 3 years .

Job Summary

An officer at this level will be responsible to the Senior Theatre ServicesAssistant in provision of services in the theatres.

Qualification and Experience

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Certificate in Theatre Technician course or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Fulfilled with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010

Responsibilities

• Assisting staff with the movement of patients within the operatingtheatre;
• Maintaining procedure room/operating theatre equipment so as to ensure a clean, safe and efficient environment for patients and staff;
• Ensuringoperatingroomtable is wiped down,floor clean, linen and rubbish removed at the conclusion of each procedure;
• Ensuring that the patient is positioned securely and safely on the operating table prior to surgery and on the patient trolley at the completion of surgery;
• Promoting patient safety at all times;
• Collecting and returning all necessary equipment for the procedure and patient safety;
• Cleaning of instruments/decontamination processes;
• Assembling of operating instruments/set;
• Wrapping items for sterilization;
• Storing of sterile sets and packs
• Issuing of sterile sets and packs to operating room staff and maintenance of records.

Job Summary

An officer at this level will be responsible for the Senior Farewell Home Attendant inprovision of farewell home services in the Hospital

Qualification and experience

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D (plain) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Certificate in Mortician course or its equivalent lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in computer application.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Responsibilities

• Collecting bodies from wards;
• Admitting bodies at the Farewell Home;
• Documenting and recording of Data;
• Identifying bodies for medico-legal cases;
• Preparing bodies for burial including embalming;
• Cleaning and dressing of bodies;
• Cleaning equipment and instruments used in the Farewell Home.
• Helping relatives in the identification of unknown bodies.

Qualification and Experience

• Master’s degree in either Hotel and catering Management/Hotel and Hospitality Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

• Escorting stable patients to diagnostic service point (X-Ray, Laboratory)
• Ensuring safety of patients/food while on transit.
• Cleaning stretchers, wheelchairs/food portering equipment, and other tools oftrade.
• Safekeeping of stretchers and other equipment in storage bays.
• Reporting any defects on tools of trade to the Administrative Officers in-charge.
• Exchanging empty oxygen cylinders with full cylinders from oxygen plant.
