    Requirements for appointment

    Deputy Director Accounting Services

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Advice the county government on all county public financial/Accounting mattersImplementing approved government accounting standards
    • Design and develop a county accounting system

    Deputy Director Finance

    Duties and Responsibilities;

    • The Deputy Director Finance will be responsible for the preparation of budget and ensuringministry’s/departments adherence to budget ceilings. Specific duties and responsibilities at thislevel shall entail: - Assist in the implementation of effective financial management systems and internal controls across all county departments.

    Assistant Director Revenue Services

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Responsible for the day-to-day running of the County revenue collection section. Implement County policies and regulations on revenue
    • Develop and implement plans to operationalize county revenue policies in a way that will enhance efficient revenue collection and growth in a sustainable manner. Design effective, efficient and secure systems of collecting revenue.
    • The system must have the capacity to minimize leakage, fraud and avoidance. Maintain complete records of all the revenue sources/centers, rates and revenuescollected. Project regular revenue trends for planning and decision making by senior county government officials

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • This will be the entry grade for professional Accountants. An officer at this level will berequiredto deal with accounting operations in an Accounting Unit or County Treasury.

    • Monitor the implementation of programs relating to vulnerable groups at Sub-Countylevel and prepare reports; Maintain contact with relevant institutions involved in research and social development on vulnerable groups; Prepare and facilitate Sub-County meetings in connection with vulnerable groups;
    • Collaborate with other institutions, agencies, organizations and NGOs dealing withthewelfare and development of vulnerable groups with a view of raising awareness andensuring implementation of decisions and programs; Participate in all activities related to the welfare and development of vulnerable groups;
    • Ensure that interests of vulnerable groups are mainstreamed in the social development issues; Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director.

    Requirements for appointment

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade C+ (Plus) and above or its recognized equivalent qualifications;
    • A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work or Community Development; or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
    • Qualifications in Psychology, and/or Guidance and Counselling will be an added advantage; Master Degree in any relevant field will be an added advantage;

    Community Health Assistants Job Group H (10 Posts)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identifying common ailments and minor injuries at the community level Identifying and referring health cases to appropriate health facilities; Coordinating community health activities
    • Collating health data from households for analysis
    • Visiting Homes to determine health situations and dialogue with households
    • Sensitizing and disseminating health information to the community
    • Convening meetings and action days in collaboration with Community Health
    • Committees and other stakeholders
    • Managing community health resource centres
    • Requisitioning refills for the community health workers’ kits

    Requirements for Appointment

    • For appointment to this grade, an officer must have;
    • Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Community Health, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or Community Development from a recognized university. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result.
