    Sales Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Own ultimate responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding sales goals
    • Build a highly competent Sales team by identifying, recruiting and managing high quality talent that will drive the business strategy forward. 
    • Create a clear plan for the Sales department covering activity schedules, budgets, expenditures and sales goals in close cooperation with the internal teams. 
    • Analyze sales statistics to measure business growth and determine strategies for increased performance. Conduct regular check-in meetings to report on performance. 
    • Equip the sales teams with the information, tools, and resources to effectively sell our titles 
    • Process sales representatives commission reports 
    • Maintain communication with internal teams and customers regarding sales and marketing initiatives. 
    • Assess inventory stock levels and contribute to decisions around print run and replenishment 
    • Assist with individual account queries including order placement and invoicing 
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and accounts

    Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s degree in any related field. 
    • Proven record in identifying, recruiting, and nurturing salespeople to meet sales targets.
    • Proven record-setting targets with team members and holding team members accountable to their commitments.
    • Proven record to lead a team to meet or exceed targets over a minimum of 2 years.
    • Proven record managing key customer accounts overseeing the management of key accounts that deliver more than 5 million revenues per year. 
    • Positive history with protocols and procedures such as reporting, participation in team activities, engagement with teams and management.
    • Experience in Educational Sales is a plus.

    Sales Representative

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Visiting clients including schools and bookshops to market and sell More Africa Series books.
    • Collecting and submitting detailed data of all institutions covered i.e. name of school, name of contact person, and designation of contact person, telephone and email contacts.
    • Collecting payments from your client through authorized channels.
    • Preparing accurate daily sales reports detailing coverage, sales and collection activities conducted.
    • Being in the best professional character at all times while representing the publisher and its products.
    • Performing any other duties as will be assigned by your supervisor from time to time.

    Requirements.

    • Minimum 2 years sales experience.
    • Previous experience in Educational sales experience is a MUST.
    • Demonstrated end-to-end sales success of at least Ksh. 750,000 per month.

    Business Development Executive

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Drive business development goals in generating business leads and opportunities, expanding existing clients, and identifying and pursuing cross-selling opportunities.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts and major clients by making regular visits to discuss their evolving needs, assessing the quality of the company’s relationship, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
    • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and strategic plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s sales targets
    • Maintain business reports and comparative statistics of the company’s various product lines, as may be required. 
    • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain great customer experiences

    HR & Payroll Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain employment records related to HR activities both statutory and non-statutory such as recruitment, termination, leave, transfers, and promotions. 
    • Coordinate the NITA application and reimbursement process by making timely and correct applications and reimbursement claims and thereafter preparing relevant reports. 
    • Providing support, guidance and counsel to staff at all levels. Ensure open communication channels are maintained at all times.
    • Preparation and processing of payroll for employees in the organization on a monthly basis. 
    • Preparation and processing of monthly statutory/voluntary deductions for payment.  
    • Address and resolve employees’ correspondence relating to the payroll, that is the P9 Forms, Payslips and updating of statutory/voluntary deductions in a timely manner.
    • Collecting daily, weekly, and monthly employee time sheets and calculating employee work hours. 
    • On a monthly basis receive all payroll amendments including salary changes, overtime payments, allowances, changes to pension contributions, new recruits, bank account changes, promotions etc. from the supervisors and Management. 
    • Check that monthly payroll amendments have been duly authorized by the Management prior to input into the payroll.
    • Provide regular reporting on the performance of assigned roles weekly, monthly and as may be required. 
    • Assist with other duties in the HR and Payroll function as and when requested to by Management.
    • Maintain and update human resources documents, such as the Company Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Ethics or performance evaluation forms. 
    • Coordinate the management and maintenance of staff contracts, personnel files, and other employee information.
    • Conduct reference and background checks on job applicants. 
    • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and / or promotion opportunities. 
    • Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports. 
    • Develop the appropriate training approaches to facilitate the training as per the recommended industry standards. 

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field. 
    • At least 5 years of relevant generalist HR experience focused on HR and payroll administration in a busy environment.
    • Experience in a Logistics company would be an added experience. 
    • Must have experience working with payroll systems.
    • Must be well conversant with the Kenyan labour laws and ethical HR practices.
