    Head of Alternative Distribution

    Job Summary

    • The Head of Alternative Distribution Channels is responsible for spearheading new business acquisitions through alternative distribution channels, other than the agency network. The Head of Alternative Distribution Channels trusted with overseeing the implementation of marketing and sales plans in addition to business promotion, ensuring that premium budgets are achieved

    Roles And Responsibilities
    Strategy and Marketing

    • Actively participating in the implementation and execution of strategic marketing, supporting the corporate strategy.
    • Implementing market segmentation plans in conjunction with Business Development departments.
    • Develop strategic plans to ensure growth of alternative distribution markets
    • Drive digital agenda to ensure growth of the digital space as a distribution channel

    Alternative Distribution Channels (ADCs)

    • Identifying, growing, and meeting new business acquisition, renewals as well as market share targets in relation to alternative distribution channels.
    • Making presentations to potential alternative distribution channels, and related niche market customers when required.
    • Attending to and accurately communicating quotations to alternative distribution channels – small to medium size independent intermediaries, banks/microfinance institutions/SMEPs, e-commerce, and others, in a timely manner.
    • Following up and ensuring that businesses that are quoted through the alternative channel, intermediaries, and direct clients register a high acquisition ratio.
    • Recruiting ADCs and intermediaries.
    • Ensuring that the company transacts business only with licensed, ethical and professional alternative channel distributors.
    • Conducting training of intermediaries and alternative distribution channels.
    • Designing and implementing financing incentives/awards for ADCs.

    Product Review and Development

    • Measuring product performance and liaising with business development, operations departments, and ADC’s intermediaries in implementing appropriate improvements in line with consumer needs.
    • Regularly liaising with the business development teams, ADC’s and intermediaries in developing products that leverage the company’s competitive edge.
    • Providing insight to the product development teams by maintaining consummate market intelligence and periodically reviewing existing products to enhance their quality.
    • Examining on an ongoing basis possible new business opportunities in both traditional and non-traditional sectors, and subsequently formulating plans for developing and launching relevant insurance products and services.

    Brand Promotion

    • Assisting in product branding and launches, including sales promotions (new and existing), tradeshow marketing, and internet marketing in liaison with the Marketing & Communications Manager.

    Business Development

    • Generating revenue from new and existing ADC’s and intermediaries, by identifying their needs in order to help develop new business opportunities in liaison with Business Development heads.
    • Maintaining regular contact through meetings and other mediums to ensure sustained growth from the ADC along with intermediaries market in respect to new and renewed business.
    • Monitoring production figures on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring that production is in line with strategic plans.

    Requirements

    Academic Qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a business, social science or related field from a reputable university.
    • A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage
    • Professional qualification(s) in insurance e.g. ACII, FCII or equivalent, would be an added advantage

    Experience

    • At least seven (7) years’ post qualification experience in the sale of financial services with two (2) years in a managerial role

    Head of Data Analytics

    • The role will lead the development and management of customer insights, data and analytics across the Group, supporting the innovation agenda. The role is data and analytically intensive. Successful candidates should be quick learners, strategic thinkers, operational and execution driven facilitators, team leaders, problem solvers, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. This role is heavily cross-functional and ideal for candidates who enjoy both defining and solving complex problems, while getting deeply involved in the classification domain and product partners.

    Roles And Responsibilities

    • Provide the one-stop shop for all data needs for the entire financial Group.
    • Define and execute the Data & Analytics strategy, in alignment with business needs, stakeholder requirements, and the business strategy.
    • Provide deep insights on market needs, performance, and structure and monitor, analyze, and leverage data insights from internal and external sources to build models and communicate actionable learnings that will shape everything we do as a team.
    • Identify new ways to leverage data and information to drive insights and better understanding of customer needs, expectations and behavior; and position ICEA LION to maximize value from emerging disruptive technology solutions
    • Leverage analytics and process improvement methodologies to provide a data-driven approach to improvement and develop overall strategies that optimize efficiency, revenue and customer experience metrics.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of solutions for business users and drive a data-driven culture across all business functions in order to transform the business into an insight driven organization.
    • Structure complex, ambiguous business questions and utilize analytical skills to synthesize actionable insights to facilitate informed decisions.
    • Measure, analyze and optimize the performance of new designs and interactions to align with business requirements.
    • Lead the development of analytics capabilities within the Group by driving overall organizational awareness and capabilities related to AI assisted servicing; partnering with the Operations and ICT teams to ensure high quality methods to gather and manage large datasets from multiple sources, data cleaning for accuracy, viability and value.
    • Determine meaningful data trends, relationships between variables and formulate predictive insights.
    • Identify and develop appropriate metrics, tools and processes to drive customer delight and loyalty.
    • Maintain inventory of current data availability including reports and business intelligent tools such as Dashboards and Scorecards.
    • Create and maintain insightful automated reports and dashboards utilizing typical data quality functions, and collaborate with ICT in developing and maintaining standardization of reporting processes driven by strategic and business needs and designed to ensure data and reporting consistency throughout the organization.
    • Provide guidance to ensure departments have proper access and training to appropriate database and reporting tools to complete department level analyses.
    • Lead and motivate the team of data analysts, aligning the team to the overall financial services group driven strategy and maintaining a decision support system that is dependable.

    Requirements Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Statistics, Engineering, Data science, or a related field
    • Masters’ degree in Computer science, Mathematics, Economics or a related field

    Experience:

    • 10+ years’ experience in analytics (5+ in senior roles)

    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    • The job holder will be responsible for the implementation of the sales strategy for the Retail Business channel to ensure the achievement of the Retail Business strategy.

    Roles And Responsibilities
    Sales and Marketing

    • Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals within the company’s quality business guidelines to increase the market share.
    • Drive achievement of the annual, quarterly, and monthly production budget targets.
    • Manage quality of business, productivity, and overall sales performance.
    • Build robust relationships with assigned and sourced intermediaries.
    • Provide accurate and competitive quotations for all the product lines and ensure they are delivered promptly to prospective clients.

    Requirements Qualifications
