    Chef – Isinya

    Responsibilities

    • Plan menus.
    • Direct and coordinate food or beverage preparation.
    • Prepare and cook foods/meals of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
    • Determine how food should be presented and ensure quality of meals.
    • Determine food or beverage costs and estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
    • Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operations.
    • Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients.
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniques to staff and be aware of changing culinary trends.
    • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
    • Maintaining high level of hygiene in the kitchen including the dishes.

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least 3 years’ working experience.
    • Have a Certificate/Diploma.
    • Must have Food handling certificate.
    • Must be able to provide a 4-week Menu.
    • High level of personal cleanliness.
    • Must be thoroughly familiar with safety requirements, safe work practices and health regulations pertaining to food preparation and service.
    • Enjoy cooking and able to organise efficient work schedules.
    • Be punctual and excellent time management skills.
    • Able to work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.

    Group Head Chef – Isinya

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Have working knowledge of menu costing and design and establish a cost management plan.
    • Must have a good understanding of menu compilation, preparation of a wide range of cuisine (Local and International).
    • Ensure adherence to proper cooking methods and presentation of food with colourful & artistic flair.
    • Conversant with HACCP systems
    • Ensure correct items and amount of food is prepared prior to food service and is stored correctly.
    • Interacting with team at the farm and obtaining feedback.
    • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure that the employees adhere to the same.
    • Ensure adherence to the hygiene in the department and all equipment is well cleaned and stored.
    • Maintain discipline in the department according to the property and company standards.
    • Manage, train, review, implement and give feedback to employees on their job performance.
    • Manage inventory and requisition of all items: assets, consumables, foods etc

    Requirements

    • Must have a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
    • Must have at least 5 years’ working experience.
    • Have a good understanding of dietary requirements, stock rotation and control.
    • Excellent time management, hosting, communication and interpersonal skills

    Spa Therapist

    Responsibilities.

    • Ensure delivery of all spa services and treatments in line with the company code of conduct and standards
    • Schedule Spa treatments with guests directly and ensure to maintain a Spa appointment calendar, ensuring no guests are double booked or appointments are missed.
    • Ensuring respect for guest privacy and dignity is always maintained.
    • Effectively communicate with camp managers and staff in a timely fashion to ensure smooth running of the department.
    • Achieve service excellence through teamwork and stay up to speed on new developments within the industry, thus generating new ideas.
    • Daily preparation of spa and maintenance of all related equipment and facilities.
    • Maintain a high degree of hygiene within the spa environment.
    • Be flexible to fit around the guest schedules and other activities.
    • Ensure timely ordering of supplies, considering usage patterns and lead times to ensure stock outs do not occur.

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Spa Therapist in camps/lodges with formal training and experience in various disciplines.
    • Must have exceptional skills beyond the normal massages and body treatments i.e Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Pilates Reiki and Energy healing.
    • Must have a relevant Degree or Diploma.
    • Must have knowledge of spa standards and procedures.
    • Basic Computer skills-Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • A keen interest and passion for the health and wellness industry, and tourism industry.
    • Have excellent ccommunication skills both spoken and written.
    • Should be reliable, honest and trustworthy.
    • A keen interest in the environment, wildlife and the conservation.

    Marketing Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working with our outsourced marketing vendors to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
    • Help develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all marketing, advertising, public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
    • Oversight of public relations and crisis management issues.
    • Represent the company in public forums to improve stakeholder relations and corporate reputation.
    • Regularly update the management team and external team on advancement of marketing and brand goals and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, results, and budgets.
    • Provide leadership in representing company values for all employees.
    • Develop digital marketing strategies to support brand awareness and launch of products.

    • Develop and drive sponsorship strategies and ensure events are managed at the highest standard whilst keeping them aligned to overall company’s strategy, business initiatives, and brand positioning.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
    • Must be a member of a relevant professional body.
    • Must have a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
    • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
    • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
    • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with good command of oral and written knowledge of English.
    • A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
    • Experience managing marketing for IT companies a plus.
    • Ability to balance long term and short-term requirements independently.
    • Strong project management, evaluation, communication, and reporting skills.
    • Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making.
