    Procurement Internship

    We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement intern to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization. You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases.


    1. Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
    2. Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
    3. Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
    4. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
    5. Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
    6. Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
    7. Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
    8. Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
    9. Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
    10. Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed
    11. Acting as a liaison between the project team and Administration/Finance Unit or any other support support department
    12. Contract Management
    13. Any other duties as maybe assigned from time to time


    1. An undergraduate with a minimum qualification of a B+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
    2. A graduate level student with a minimum of Second Class Upper Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable University (Business & Procurement related courses).
    3. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
    4. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
    5. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
    6. Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
    7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    9. Accurate and precise attention to detail
    10. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
    11. Goal-oriented, organized team player

    General Maintenance Assistant (Night Shift) - CySuites

    CySuites Apartment hotel is looking to hire a passionate and focused individual as a General Maintenance Assistant to work on night shift


    1. Respond and attend to guest repair requests
    2. Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
    3. Update the maintenance work order form / Job card and file them
    4. Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
    5. Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy
    6. Preform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts
    7. Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items
    8. Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
    9. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment
    10. To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel
    11. To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency
    12. Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown
    13. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
    14. Performs other duties as assigned
    15. Operates and maintains washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine etc.
    16. Operates and maintains folding equipment, presser and iron.
    17. Reports any damage or deficiencies in the laundried items to the laundry manager.
    18. Assist with processing guests clothing on the correct equipment / machines using the appropriate chemicals and temperature.
    19. To monitor fire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems
    20. Perfom any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.


    1. Any relevant formal education relating to building maintenance
    2. Practical Knowledge of maintenance
    3. Work experience of at least 1 years in a busy hotel or serviced apartment
    4. Innovative and solution oriented individuals
    5. Responsible and able to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and courtesy towards guests
