    Clinical Officer

    REF: IRDO/GF NANDI/001/2021

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Program Coordinator.

     Provide the minimum package of clinical services at the Drop in Centre (Dice) and during community outreaches targeting KPs as per the Mt National Guidelines/standards.

    Shall serve as the DICE In charge.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Ensure excellent standards and quality of clinical care is provided to all clients and effective referrals and linkages made with tertiary health facilities.
    • Diagnose and institute effective clinical procedures, which are consistent with National guidelines and observe legal and statutory requirements in all situations. Mentor and supervise the other members of the clinical team
    • Ensure that all clients’ rights to access services are adhered to at the Centre.
    • Ensure that the health care services are friendly, responsive to the needs and offered at the convenient time of Key Populations and their clients.
    • Coordinate integration of health services with peer outreaches.
    • Ensure that correct information is relayed to beneficiaries, SCHMTs and other stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Ensure correct, confidential and timely updating of clients data/ records.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports at required intervals.

    Minimum Requirements:

    1. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
    2. Registered with the Clinical Officer’s Council of Kenya.
    3. Must have at least two years’ experience in a busy health facility.
    4. Should have training and practical experience in Key Populations Intervention.  
    5. Knowledge on HIV care and treatment added advantage.
    6. Ability to diagnose and treat Sexually Transmitted Infections.
    7. Computer literacy is essential.
    8. Working knowledge of Nandi County is highly desirable, specifically the KPs hotspots

    HTS Counsellor

    REF:IRDO/CLLR NANDI/001/2021

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the DiCE In charge.

    Provide HIV Testing Services to clients at O. and during community outreaches

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    1. Offer HIV Testing Services to all clients and provide effective referrals when applicable.
    2. Provide Provider initiated testing and counseling to clients’ and family members.
    3. Ensure quality HTS are provided to clients as per the National standards.
    4. Ensure proper linkages of clients accessing HT’S
    5. Work with Peer Educators to ensure targets are met
    6. Ensure clients information/data are kept safe and confidential
    7. Submit duly filled data forms to the Drop in Centre (DiCE) in charge

    Minimum requirements

    1. Diploma in counseling and VCT, PITC, and Couple Counseling and KPs training from NASCOP accredited institutions.
    2. 2 years’ experience in a similar position in a by medical facility
    3. Working knowledge of Nandi County is highly desirable, specifically the KPs hotspots

    Nursing Officer

    REF – IRDO/NO NANDI/001/2021

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Dice In charge.

    Provide or assist in the provision of minimum package of clinical services at the Dice and during community outreaches targeting KPs as per the National Guidelines/standards.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Assess clients and establish health care needs as necessary.
    2. Diagnose simple common health conditions, prescribe, and administer treatment.
    3. Provide appropriate healthcare service; e.g. administration of treatment, dispensing drugs, etc.
    4. Provide health education and counseling to clients on identified health problems and socioeconomic issues related to their health.
    5. Evaluate healthcare outcomes to clients and write individualized report.
    6. Maintain confidential records on clients personal and health condition/care data.
    7. Keep clinical environment tidy and safe.
    8. Ensure efficiency and safety of assigned nursing commodities.
    9. Ensure that all clients’ rights to access services are adhered to at the centre.
    10. Ensure that the health care services are friendly, responsive to the needs and offered at the convenient time of Key Populations and their clients.

    Minimum Requirements:

    1. Diploma in Registered Nursing from a recognized nursing training institution and in possession of a registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
    2. Is in good professional standing with the Nursing Council of Kenya
    3. Most have at least two years’ experience in a busy health facility.
    4. Should have training and practical experience in Key Populations Intervention.
    5. Knowledge on HIV/AIDS care and treatment added advantage.
    6. Ability to diagnose and treat Sexually Transmitted Infections.
    7. Working knowledge of Nandi County is highly desirable, specifically the KPs hot spots

    HMIS Assistant

    REF: IRDO/DO NANDI/001/2021

    Job Summary

    Reporting to DiCE In charge.

    The candidate will perform data entry management including data cleaning, and archiving to support the Implementation of prevention program activities.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Co-ordinate the collection of data from activity sites.
    • Review, analyze, and validate activities data to ensure consistency, integrity and ace based on project specific guidelines.
    • Secure all data collected from the respective field stations
    • Perform timely entry of data into project databases, and maintain data accuracy thru, review of case report forms for completeness and consistency.
    • Maintain documentation based on Global Fund/Kenya Red Cross guidelines to ass, standardizing data management procedures.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in data entry in a busy organization. 
    • ound knowledge of Ms. Word, Ms. Access, Ms. Excel, and SPSS or its equivalent.
