    PhD Studentship - KEMRI CGHR Kisumu

    Key Responsibilities:

    • The PhD candidate will conduct and coordinate data collection for the economic evaluation in Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi;
    • Perform costing analyses and economic modeling to assess financial sustainability;
    • Develop and apply an economic model for cost-effectiveness comparison between mAbs DP;
    • Publish at least three peer-reviewed scientific papers as part of the PhD requirements; and engage with project stakeholders, including policymakers, funders, and implementing partners.

    Vacancy Requirements:

    •  Kenyan citizenship is required    Mandatory
    • A Master’s degree in health economics or a related field    Mandatory
    • Prior experience in health economic evaluations, costing studies, or applied economic modeling    Mandatory
    • Knowledge of health systems in low- and middle-income countries is an advantage.    Mandatory
    • Experience with stakeholder engagement and fieldwork coordination    Mandatory
    • Strong commitment to research and academia, demonstrated through a personal statement    Mandatory 
    • Must be available for full-time engagement in the project    Mandatory

    Community Tracker - Kisumu - 6 Posts

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Offer HIV counselling and testing services to all participants at each required visit.
    • Develop and review participant recruitment SOP and implement strategies.
    • Conduct outreach activities and participant referrals.
    • Develop and offer Participant retention activities.
    • Obtain and update participant locator information.
    • Report writing on recruitment and retention strategies and updating of the community diary.

    Vacancy Requirements:

    • Diploma in Community Health, Social Sciences, social work, sociology, anthropology, psychological counseling, or other related fields.    Mandatory
    • Certificate in HTS—All participants will be offered HIV testing and counselling services as a standard package of care for pre-exposure eligibility; the position requires individuals with HTS capability.Have good communication and social skills    Mandatory
    • Have the Ability to work under pressure    Mandatory
    • Are flexible and can multitask    Mandatory
    • Have good report-writing skills and Proactive    Mandatory
    • Have good Computer skills, especially the MS Office packages    Mandatory
