    Control Room Operator

    Purpose:

    • The Control Room Operator will operate the plant and maintain system parameters to ensure product quality is maintained and ensure zero undetectable deviation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor the electrical transmission and distribution system, as well as the entire Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for proper oil extraction operation, under minimal supervision.
    • Follow standard operating procedures for safe start up and shutdown of the oil extraction plant.
    • Ensure pre-start up, start up, operational, and shut down checklists are completed before plant operations commence.
    • Utilize SCADA data to coordinate field fault diagnostics and manual operations.
    • Ensure the cleanliness of the working area.
    • Answer emergency trouble calls and other types of after-hours phone-calls and determine appropriate actions.
    • Recall on-call maintenance teams to facilitate repairs on emergency trouble calls occurring outside of normal working hours, weekends, or holidays.
    • Maintain various operational records and logs and produce operational reports.
    • Oversee the flow of information and reports, coordinate actions when necessary, and ensure response plans are followed during emergencies and natural disasters.
    • Interface closely with the operations In-charge and maintenance to ensure key operational matters are performed, communicated and documented.
    • Monitor and oversee the primary electrical system using SCADA, receive system alarms to locate trouble areas.
    • Maintain a log of operations to reflect any/all system concerns and operational actions taken.
    • Identify SCADA operational malfunctions, request corrective actions, and report uncorrected malfunctions.
    • Follow standard procedures and switching orders in accordance with standard operating and safe switching practices.
    • Ensure smooth transition of position during shift operations.
    • Using drawings, trace and determine facilities affected by outages, and then notify the shift in-charge.
    • Comply with all HSE safety regulations and adhere to proper codes and standards with a thorough understanding of safety procedures related to Electrical Systems.
    • Handle any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
    • A Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
    • Fluent knowledge of English.
    • 2 years operator experience in vegetable oil extraction plant.
    • Firefighting & HSE basic courses preferred.
    • Experience with troubleshooting of plant upsets and taking corrective action.
    • Experience with reading and logging SCADA information.
    • Experience with shift report writing.

    Maintenance Planner

    Job Responsibilities:

    Maintenance Planning and Execution:

    • Handle all maintenance planning and execution functions in manufacturing plants, equipment, utilities, and facilities, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
    • Oversee installation, commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities

    Plant Operations and Process Improvement:

    • Establish, plan, and optimize plant operations, identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives and activities.
    • Lead innovation management efforts and direct initiatives to create value internally (operations efficiency/productivity) and externally with contractors/clients.

    Effectiveness and Efficiency Monitoring:

    • Measure and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of operational and maintenance processes.
    • Provide advice on areas of improvement both internally and externally.

    Maintenance Efficiency Drivers:

    • Identify, plan, develop, recommend, and execute key maintenance efficiency drivers.
    • Support the establishment and optimization of day-to-day operational activities, including planning, directing, and overseeing maintenance operational policies, rules, and strategies.

    Maintenance Procedures and Quality Management:

    • Develop and execute maintenance procedures and processes to support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Production Practices (GPP), and the quality management system.
    • Develop maintenance systems and strategies to drive a LEAN manufacturing and improvement culture, aiming to exceed customer expectations, reduce cycle time, and improve quality outcomes.

    Quality and Preventive Maintenance:

    • Implement a proactive Quality by Design approach to all manufacturing and maintenance processes, services, and premises.
    • Implement preventive maintenance systems and controls throughout the value chain to avoid problems and variability.

    Team Coordination and Development:

    • Train, supervise, and coordinate an effective maintenance team, working cross-functionally with all departments.
    • Implement tools, protocols, and reports to document maintenance activities thoroughly.

    Overall Equipment Efficiency:

    • Ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of plant and equipment by focusing on overall equipment efficiency.
    • Develop cost-saving proposals, conduct maintenance and operational costing and efficiency analysis.

    Preventive Maintenance and Scheduling:

    • Formulate and establish a preventive maintenance master plan for all plant, equipment, utilities, and systems.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and control all maintenance activities to ensure effective planning and execution.

    Maintenance Procedures and Software:

    • Improve maintenance procedures and enhance the effectiveness of maintenance activities.
    • Establish standard operating procedures, documentation, and work instructions related to maintenance functions.
    • Utilize maintenance management software to optimize maintenance processes.

    Equipment Reliability and Monitoring:

    • Reduce equipment breakdowns, extend equipment life span, and improve overall equipment efficiency.
    • Conduct routine checks and monitoring of equipment, track anomalies, and control process parameters accordingly.

    Progressive Maintenance Outlook:

    • Foster a progressive outlook in the maintenance department, adopting the latest techniques and advancements in production and maintenance technology.
    • Strive to reduce or eliminate breakdowns and implement measures to keep pace with technology advancements.

    Job Requirements:

    • Must be conversant with Maintenance/project planning, execution, coordinating and control in oil extraction or oil refinery process in terms of maintenance, repair and overhaul.
    • Holder of Bachelor of science in Mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronic engineering with a bias in project planning from a reputable institution,
    • Over 5 years of sound continuous and detailed experience in manufacturing as a maintenance/engineering planner.
    • Conversant with planning tools, scheduling tools, root-cause analysis tools, condition monitoring tools, technical drawing/design, project monitoring/tracking tools, etc.
    • Conversant with Kaizen, Six sigma and lean manufacturing.

    Transport Assistant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Logistics Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the transport department.
    • Formulate and implement strategies, plans, and policies related to the logistics and transport department.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics and supply chain operations.
    • Implement green logistics practices to minimize environmental impact.
    • Identify, establish, and maintain appropriate fleet management software.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma in  logistics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a busy environment.
    • Good computer skills, including working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
    • Knowledge of basic stocktaking procedures.
    • Firefighting and HSE basic courses (preferred).
    • Must be proficient in SAP, MRP, and 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.

    Professional Boiler Operator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate and adjust high-pressure gas, oil, and coal-fired boilers in the steam-generating plant.
    • Ensure maximum boiler efficiency by monitoring gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.
    • Maintain oil heaters, pumps, storage facilities, and unloading equipment.
    • Operate the steam plant using natural gas, oil, or coal as required.
    • Monitor boiler plant operations through electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.
    • Supervise and perform chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.
    • Monitor fuel levels and delivery to ensure uninterrupted boiler operation.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports related to steam plant operations.
    • Conduct regular checks of plant equipment, perform necessary adjustments, repairs, and services.
    • Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems through routine inspections and maintenance.
    • Maintain proper documentation of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs.
    • Foster a safety-conscious environment by following safety procedures and identifying potential hazards.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma in mechanical or electrical or mechatronic engineering with over 3 years of experience, or craft certificate in boiler operation with over 5 years of experience in boiler and utilities operations and maintenance in a large ISO certified manufacturing plant.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience with complex systems and/or the industrial sector in the maintenance and operation of steam boilers.
    • Familiarity with key process utilities such as air compressors, emergency power generators, power distribution systems, heating systems, process cooling systems, and water supply and treatment systems.
    • Possess a valid operator’s license issued by the government.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented and highly safety-conscious.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Thorough knowledge of the proper operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam generation plant equipment.
    • Strong understanding of steam plant safety standards and procedures.
    • Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, written orders, control gauges, and manufacturer’s operating instructions.
    • Proficiency in operating and regulating boiler plant equipment to optimize plant output.
    • Capacity to understand and follow complex instructions on proper plant operation.
    • Supervisory skills to effectively manage a team.
    • Hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining various types of steam plant equipment.
    • Ability to perform routine maintenance and make manual adjustments during servicing.
    • Physical fitness and manual dexterity to crawl inside boilers during inspections.
    • Strong teamwork and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently without close supervision.
