    Project Manager- Case Management Project

    Responsibilities

    1. Lead and oversee the implementation of youth programming initiatives in Mombasa County, with a primary focus on Case Management programming.
    2. Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, ensuring that objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.
    3. Monitor project progress, regularly assessing performance against established goals and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
    4. Coordinate activities and resources, ensuring efficient and effective utilization to maximize program impact.
    5. Maintain daily coordination with SPH staff and Youth Hub Network partners in Mombasa County, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure the smooth running of the program.
    6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government stakeholders, particularly the county and sub-county governments, fostering collaboration and alignment of objectives.
    7. Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders, facilitating regular communication, sharing program updates, and addressing any concerns or issues.
    8. Collaborate with government stakeholders to leverage resources, identify partnership opportunities, and advocate for youth programming initiatives.
    9. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on program activities, outcomes, and impact to relevant stakeholders, including funders, government agencies, and SPH leadership.
    10. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of youth programming initiatives, incorporating feedback and best practices.
    11. Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and funding opportunities related to youth programming and make recommendations for program enhancements.
    12. Any other duties as may be assigned by the COO

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in project management, international development, business/entrepreneurship development, or technical education.
    2. At least three years of experience leading or coordinating youth programming in Kenya.
    3. At least three years of experience in managing complex livelihood projects (preferably youth-focused)
    4. in Kenya. Experience in gender and vocational training will be an added advantage.
    5. Demonstrated capacity to write high-quality reports for donor projects and analytical briefs.
    6. Strong familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and logical frameworks.
    7. Exceptional written and verbal skills in English. Knowledge of Kiswahili will be an advantage.
    8. Good analytical, organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    9. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a large team of staff, individual experts, and partners.
    10. Experience working at the Coast of Kenya and with international donors is desirable.

    Project Associate- Case Management Project

    Responsibilities:

    As a Case Management Project Associate, you will be responsible for the following:

    • Assisting in the implementation of the Case Management Project, ensuring that the goals and objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
    • Supporting the coordination and management of cases, ensuring that each young individual receives appropriate support and guidance throughout their journey.
    • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and employers, to identify and develop diverse opportunities for youth.
    • Coordinating the assessments and screenings to identify the needs, strengths, and aspirations of individual youth participants.
    • Supporting the developing and maintaining case files for each participant, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented and updated.
    • Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and group activities to enhance the skills and knowledge of APAs and youth participants.
    • Providing support for monitoring and evaluation of individual cases, identifying challenges, and implementing appropriate strategies to overcome them.
    • Preparing and submitting regular reports on the project's progress, including data on participant engagement.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
    2. Proven experience in case management or youth development programs.
    3. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by youth in accessing education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities in Mombasa.
    4. Knowledge of the local context, community resources, and government programs in Mombasa County and its sub-counties.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
    7. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for empowering young individuals to reach their full potential.
    8. Proficiency in using computer applications and case management software for documentation and reporting.
    9. Exceptional written and verbal skills in English. Knowledge of Kiswahili will be an advantage.
    10. Good analytical, organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    Case Manager- Case Management Project

    Key responsibilities:

    The case manager will play a vital role in co-designing the mentorship program, mobilizing opportunity youth (OY), and facilitating structured mentorship to assist them in accomplishing their personal and professional objectives. The case manager will also Monitor and evaluate the progress of OY on a case-by-case basis, identifying any challenges or additional needs.

    Additionally, the case manager must stay updated on emerging needs and opportunities for OY and actively contribute to the continuous co-designing of the program alongside the project team. Building a strong relationship with the Youth Hub Networks and gaining familiarity with their programs and services is also essential to act as a reliable referral point for additional services required by OY. Your exceptional interpersonal skills, knowledge of youth development principles, and ability to establish positive relationships will significantly contribute to the success of our mentorship program.

    Responsibilities

    1. Facilitate structured mentorship sessions for opportunity youth (OY) in accordance with the program guidelines and objectives.
    2. Build strong rapport and provide guidance, support, and encouragement to opportunity youth (cases), helping them set and achieve personal and professional goals.
    3. Monitor and evaluate the progress of OY on a case-by-case basis, identifying any challenges or additional needs.
    4. Collaborate with the Case Management team to refer mentees to other necessary services available through the Youth Hub Networks and other ecosystem partners.
    5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of mentorship sessions, progress, and outcomes.
    6. Attend regular meetings and training sessions to enhance mentoring skills and stay updated on program developments.
    7. Collaborate with the Project management team and other case managers to ensure the effective implementation of the mentorship program.
    8. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, providing updates on mentee progress and any issues or concerns that may arise.
    9. Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and funding opportunities related to youth programming and make recommendations for program enhancements.
    10. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Diploma in any relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology, education, e.t.c) or equivalent practical experience.
    2. Proven experience in mentoring or coaching youth, preferably within a community or non-profit setting.
    3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and build positive relationships with PY.
    4. Knowledge of youth development principles and experience in guiding and supporting OY in their personal and professional growth.
    5. Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of youth from various backgrounds.
    6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    7. Proficiency in using computer applications for record keeping and documentation; MS Suite.

    Assistant Project Associate- Case Management Project

    Key responsibilities:

    As the case management Assistant Project Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the sub-county-level coordination, planning, and smooth operation of the Case Management Project. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and manage the case managers and assist with the implementation of the case management approach by providing them with tailored support and guidance as appropriate.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Assist in the implementation of the Case Management Project, at the sub-county level, ensuring that the goals and objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
    2. Support the coordination and management of cases through the case managers ensuring that each young individual receives appropriate support and guidance throughout their journey.
    3. Support Opportunity Youth registration on the Youth Database.
    4. Conduct assessments and screenings to identify the needs, strengths, and aspirations of individual youth participants.
    5. Provide personalized support and guidance to case managers.
    6. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and group activities to enhance the skills and knowledge of case managers and youth participants.
    7. Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of the case management approach.
    8. Prepare and submit regular reports on the project's progress at the sub-county level, including data on participant engagement, outcomes, and success stories.
    9. Stay updated on relevant policies, programs, and resources related to youth education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
    10. Mobilize and engage key stakeholders at the sub-county level in project implementation.
    11. Organize and coordinate forums with Youth hubs and government and community leaders/elders through outreach initiatives including meetings, community dialogue, and family visits.
    12. Collect data for Case Management project and other SPH programs as needed.
    13. Any other duties assigned by the Case Management Project manager.

    Qualifications:

    1. Diploma in social sciences, social work, psychology, or any other relevant field. Relevant work experience in a similar role may be considered.
    2. Previous experience in a project support or assistant role, preferably in a youth development or case management program.
    3. Basic understanding of the challenges faced by youth in accessing education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
    4. Knowledge of the local context and community resources in Mombasa County and its sub-counties.
    5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    7. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
    9. Proficiency in using computer applications for documentation and reporting.
