    Training Officer

    JOB REF: CCO 007/2022

    Duties /Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement Training calendar
    • Conduct training needs analysis
    • Marketing of Training programs
    • Writing training proposals to clients
    • Administer training programs
    • Coordinate training programs
    • Coordinate  and support training activities
    • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
    • Facilitate production of certificates
    • Report writing based on training department indicators
    • Ensuring collection of training activities fees

    Job requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and development.
    • Back ground in Cooperative management, financial institution will be an added advantage
    • Track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
    • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
    • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (needs assessment, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

    Research Officer

    JOB REF: CCO 006/2022

    Duties /Responsibilities

    • Conduct research with an aim of drafting relevant policy papers;
    • Support the organization and management on events, meetings and campaigns to ensure the implementation of the research, policy and advocacy programs;
    • Track, scan and analyze policy and advocacy environment, recommending strategic opportunities for KUSCCO engagement in undertaking advocacy/policy specific analysis;
    • Keep abreast with key issues related to the work of KUSCCO including monitoring of policy related activities of key stakeholders;
    • Represent KUSCCO at public engagement events;
    • Facilitate, participate, take notes and prepare minutes and coordinate agenda of policy and advocacy activities;
    • Build and maintain relationships with KUSCCO stakeholders;
    • Contribute to the development of reports and feedbacks advocacy issues/funders and partners.
    • In collaboration with Advocacy manager key stakeholders, identify and lead resource mobilization development opportunities contributing to concept and proposal development and donor reports;
    • Establish and maintain all documentation, data and information systems related to research, policy and advocacy;
    • Develop policy and research tools, frameworks and curriculum to strengthen the advocacy capacity of KUSCCO staff and primary stakeholders

    Job requirement

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject (Public Policy, Political Sciences, Economics) Certificate in Research methods, policy or advocacy
    • 3years experience in research, policy and advocacy initiatives in a non—profit making organization
    • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
    • Experience in conducting policy analysis and synthesizing technical information and materials for decision making for advocacy actions
    • Experience in management and coordination of research, policy and advocacy-related events
    • Knowledge of data analysis software e.g. SPSS, Stata etc
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills for a range of audiences
    • Strong research and policy development skills
    • Presentation, training and facilitation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

    Legal Officer

    JOB REF: CCO 005/2022

    Duties /Responsibilities

    • Advising the organization on all legal matters that may arise in its operations;
    • Drawing and vetting of contracts, agreements and other legal documents;
    • Negotiating for contracts;
    • Following up on cases filed against the organization and preparation of legal reports and opinions;
    • Undertaking legal research;
    • Liaising with external lawyers and the state law office on all cases filed against the organization to ensure instructions, witnesses and statements are procured on time;
    • Developing, implementing and reviewing legal policies and procedures to ensure that they are in accord with the existing legislation;
    • Coordinating the organization’s complaint management system;
    • Advising the organization on the legislation that affect the organization and changes made thereof;
    • Monitoring compliance with legal and statutory requirements of the organization;
    • Providing necessary support in the board secretarial function;
    • Providing of day to day legal and regulatory support to the functional areas covering general compliance queries and reviews.

    Job requirement

    • Have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution;
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law;
    • Admission to the Roll of Advocates of the High Court of Kenya;
    • Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK)
    • Possession of a current Law Practicing Certificate;
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation and case laws in order to articulate Legal matters
    • High Integrity;
    • Analytical and problem solving skills in order to resolve complex legal issues and find suitable solutions;
    • Organisational skills;
    • Knowledge of administrative and legal processes.

    Customer Care Officer

    Duties /Responsibilities

    • Ensure provision of quality service to customers
    • Handling various routine inquiries received by phone and emails from internal and external stakeholder (Telephone management)
    • Directing queries to relevant officers and ensuring that feedback is promptly given

    Credit Control Officer

    JOB REF: CCU 003/2022

    Duties /Responsibilities

    • Carry out debt collection activities
    • Work out repayment plan; final options with debtors, restructure and advise on the way forward when all debt collection effort is no longer viable.
    • Ensure integrity of debtors’ database
    • Arrange interviews for debtors who wish to come in and discuss repayment plans
    • Preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and yearly reports to the management
    • Ensure timely debt collection and reconciliation of accounts
    • Carry out periodic visits to regions on debt recovery
