RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, financial statements, loan security documents and other financial information.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit status, and undertake relevant evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Evaluate and advice on clients’ ability to pay based on analysis of their finances.
• Obtain credit information from credit institutions and references.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding applications for credit and credit transactions.
• Process approved loans for disbursement.
• Generate customer feedback on loan applications.
• Undertake business and home visits to validate applications.
• Review and update credit and loan files.
• Undertake data entry on approved loans.
• Undertake timely valuation renewals after contract expiry.
• Continuous professional development to keep up with current industry trends.
• Prepare and submit timely reports and information for decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance/Banking, Credit Management or related qualifications from a recognized institution
• Familiarity with debt collection best practices
• At least 3 years of working experience handling collections.
• Proficiency in ICT with strong MS Office and Internet ability
• Analytical and keen to details
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and customer service oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor loan repayment activities.
• Ensure customers are aware about credit policies.
• Coordinate collections including generating reminders to clients on delayed payments through approved correspondence instruments.
• Ensure monthly confirmation of balances for accounts are properly prepared and mailed to customers within the required time.
• Advise respective clients and sponsors on overdue payments.
• Establish clients requiring re-negotiation of credit terms, and negotiate where necessary, the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral.
• Generate revised repayment schedules for re-negotiated credit terms.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure timely response and action.
• Review and update loan files to ensure complete, accurate and up to date information on customers.
• Generate reports for customers whose accounts are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable accounts for Credit Recovery for collector action.
• Carry out monthly reconciliation of loan accounts.
• Ensure discrepancies noted on reconciliations are highlighted and resolved.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounts, Finance, or related from a recognized institution.
• Professional Credit or Accounting qualifications is an added advantage.
• Minimum of two (2) years practical experience in banking with proven result-oriented track record in credit.
• Proficiency in ICT with strong MS Office and internet ability
• Ability to interpret Financials and make sound decisions out of it
• Analytical and keen to details
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and customer service oriented.
