    Strategic Vendor Services

    What’s this job all about?
    As a Strategic vendor services associate at Jumia, you will be responsible for one of the core activities in the key accounts team; growing and transforming our business with brands and strategic partners. 

    This position is currently one of the positions where Jumia Group is investing the most to grow the pool of talent. We expect the best performers to be the next wave of key account managers, head of categories in the company. You will focus on managing accounts end-to-end for our top brands and vendors.

    From the very essence of commercial, to operations or even co-organization of Jumia key commercial events, your scope will provide you will all levers to drive your Brand(s) toward the right direction. This role is for top performers looking for close collaboration with senior commercial leaders to help accelerate their commercial careers.

    The main challenges are described as below:

    Main Responsibilities

    Catalog creation:

    • Creating best in class content as per guidelines
    • Optimizing content for Jumia and external search (Google etc.)
    • Ensuring products are in the correct categories and filters
    • managing item variation relationships (display alternate sizes & colors

    Reporting:

    • Delivering regular reports on activity and data quality

    Commercial and marketing planning:

    • Delivering strategic commercial and marketing initiatives, from planning to execution and analysis
    • Leading the collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment process
    • Finance and Logistics
    • Resolve finance and logistics problems

    Required Skills

    • 2+ year’s experience in Retail / FMCG, 2+ year’s experience in consulting/ banking, 2+ year’s experience in ecommerce
    • Top 1% Business / Engineering Schools and Universities 
    • Action oriented and performance driven 
    • Strong management and inter-personal skills
    • Good analytical and data management skills 
    • Ability to anticipate, structure and organize 
    • Well organized and very detail oriented 
    • Resistant to stress 
    • Autonomous 
    • Finding simple solutions to complex problems

    Golang Developer

    Responsibilities:

    • Autonomy interpreting business/technical requirements, designing, implementing and testing high-quality solutions
    • Work in a team-based development environment with modular code base, peer reviews and pull requests, with disciplined use of source code control and documentation
    • Constant aim for quality, scalability, performance, and architecture keeping good practices, security, and compliance in check
    • Be part of a fast and agile development process
    • Contribute actively and proactively to optimize applications, processes, and methodologies
    • Be willful to help peers, being part of a collaborative environment for development, testing, and automation tasks

    Requirements:

    • Strong working experience (+3 years) and knowledge with Golang
    • Experience with Golang Web Frameworks (e.g. Gin Gonic, Rebel)
    • Clear understanding of OOP, Design Patterns and anti-patterns, SOLID principles
    • Working experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
    • Experienced with testing layers (unit, integration and functional testing) and version control technologies (e.g. GIT)
    • Understanding of Queuing systems (e.g. SQS, RabbitMQ)

    Personal Skills:

    • Eager to work in team environment and share knowledge
    • Likes problem analysis and solving
    • Enthusiast and an interested in technologies and innovation
    • Solution oriented and proactive attitude, in parallel with “Get Things Done” mindset

    The following skills are not required but will make your profile stand out.

    • Experience with other languages like PHP and JS
    • Prior experience with of the following technologies: Apache Kafka, Couchbase, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Redis
    • Experience with microservices oriented architecture
    • Familiar with SCRUM methodology

    Academic & trades qualifications

    • Academic background in IT or equivalent
    • Knowledge in algorithms and distributed systems
    • Proficiency in English
    • 3 year of experience
