PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Underwriting Manager – Group Life, the role holder will be tasked to evaluate, price and prescribe the terms to apply on risks proposed so as to deliver the desired loss ratio and profitability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate risks proposed and prescribe rates and terms to commensurate with level of risk before acceptance
• Prepare and process debits/credits endorsements for both renewals and new business
• Review renewal notices based on claims experience
• Issue and sign Policy documents
• Provide quotations to intermediaries and clients
• Process premium refunds to customers
• Respond and attend to customer enquiries
• Prepare monthly reports i.e. – Loss ratio, Renewal notices, lapse reports
• Reconciliation of underwriting issues
• Cancellation of policies due to non-payment of premiums

GENERIC DUTIES

• Carry out performance appraisal, coaching and mentoring staff.
• Participate in various meeting and committees.

Academic and Professional Requirements

• Education    Bachelor’s Degree    
• Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial or in a business-related field.

Professional Qualifications    

• Diploma in Insurance

 Experience Required: 

Relevant experience    

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience at managerial/supervisory level.

PURPOSE:

• Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring design, implementation and management of on-premise and cloud systems and building & maintaining ICT infrastructure for CIC Group. The role shall be involved in creating and managing scalable compute resources, overseeing data storage, cost optimization, providing support, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administration of AD/DNS/DHCP, Office 365 suite, servers and virtualized environment to ensure efficiency including server and compute resources allocation, management and patching
• Administration of Network Storage infrastructure that serves the Group systems
• Designing, building, and managing highly secure, scalable, and available architectures both on cloud and on-premise to meet business needs
• Maintain documentation of existing systems and update them to reflect changes in the environment.
• Deploy Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities within the systems and configure / add new services as necessary to ensure effective service to end users
• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
• Train system users where necessary and assist in support of the business applications as and when required
• Vendor management including ensuring vendor performance & service level agreements are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on the performance of CIC’s system

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behavioural Competencies

Academic and Professional Requirements

• Education    Bachelor’s Degree    
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or in a related field.

Professional Qualifications    

• Certifications in Microsoft.
• ITIL, and/or, CISA
• VMware and/or NETAPP

 Experience Required: 

Relevant experience    

• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience

 Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMware, or equivalent
• Active Directory on premise and cloud experience
• Hands on experience with storage solution i.e. NETAPP
