Role Purpose
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the individual will be responsible for the loan processing, generating reports and initiative on improvement of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and appraising of loan applications.
- Preparing and submitting remittance advices to members and payroll officers upon disbursement of members’ loans and advising them on deductions to be cleared.
- Provide member support during loan applications.
- Send stop orders to individual members and organizations.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on credit limits, exposures, and portfolio characteristics of all clients to adequately provide for any expected credit losses.
- Offer members with alternative solution if they cannot qualify for the applied loan category or levels.
- Verify applicant’s employment information with the employers to confirm the authenticity and ability.
- Responsible for letters of offer execution.
- Support members and other stakeholders on general inquiries on loans.
- Handle member complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Advise members whose applications have been deferred or rejected promptly and as advised while giving the applicants reasons for rejections.
- Register all loan applications for further processing and approval.
- Assess customer loan applications and make recommendations.
- Authenticate documentation presented for all credit applications and ensure they comply with the credit policy.
- Ensure all applicants are advised on fate of applications promptly.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan application form and documents by checking and verifying the signatures of applicants and guarantors and sign & date.
- Enhance customer relations and provide excellent customer experiences in Credit operations.

Role Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the individual will provide leadership in the development and implementation of sound and proper financial planning in the SACCO. The individual shall oversee the Sacco’s administrative and financial activities, including being responsible for the finance and accounting staff who perform operational functions, and serve in a strategic advisory role for the CEO and the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage the Sacco’s financial planning.
- Liaise with the CEO and advise on the development and implementation of the Sacco’s strategy plan.

- Plan, implement and manage investment strategies.
- Establish internal financial control systems and regularly monitor their operations adequacy and efficiency.

- Financial forecasting and modelling based on the Sacco’s past performance and on internal and external factors that may affect revenue and expenses.
- Review and analyze departmental level forecasts to create profit projections for the CEO and the Board.
- Manage deposit mobilization plans and capital structure.
- Track and ensure cash flow is appropriate and sustainable (Liquidity management).
- Oversee FOSA department activities in relations to Finance.
- Preparation of timely and accurate management reports on the issues that fall under his/her department (financial report, SASRA report).
- Maintain complete records of finances for the SACCO.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns.

Role Purpose
Reporting to the Credit Control Officer, the individual will be responsible for inhouse debt recovery to ensure the society maintains acceptable credit risk level.
Key Responsibilities
- Systematic monitoring and collection of all delinquent cases for sub-standard, doubtful loss and other category collectable in-house.
- Recovery management and maintaining default rate at stipulated levels.
- Circulation of reminders to loan defaulters.
- Debt collection to ensure members repay their loans.
- Attending to members inquiries/concerns on matters relating to their defaulted accounts.
- Drawing payment plans with debtors and keeping their records for audit purposes.
- Ensuring payment plans are honored by debtors as per the agreement and keeping track of account movement.
