    Training & Development and Employee Performance Lead

    Job summary: Assess, design, develop and deliver client and employee training. Design performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals.

    Key responsibilities and duties:

    Training and development

    • Effectively facilitate remote and in-person training utilizing multiple systems.
    • Collaborate across teams to deliver objective focused training.
    • Function as a subject matter expert for training & development and is a consultation resource
    • Deploy a wide array of training methods to include e-learnings, virtual trainings, and other methods 
    • Guide managers in developing their team members through career pathing
    • Work closely with the HRBPs to coordinate and facilitate training for employee onboarding and new hire orientation
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of training topics, technologies, and company policies.
    • Manage the training calendar and communicate with HRBPs to coordinate trainings

    Employee performance

    • Develop and execute programs and projects to evaluate, measure and improve employee performance. 
    • Analyze the impact of employee performance interventions on organizational performance and provide reports to the management. 
    • Responsible for the development of training programs aimed at aligning employee performance with organizational goals.
    • Provide guidance to managers to assess competencies of employees.
    • Be the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) champion

    Skills

    Job requirementsBachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work-related experience

    • Training/development, performance management experience required.
    • Experience in OKR goal setting framework
    • Ability to work with a diverse employee population in different industries
    • Knowledge of adult learning concepts and methodologies.
    • Strong aptitude for engaging learning during facilitation.
    • Agile; willingness to take on different projects and learn new areas.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once, including scheduling and monitoring employee progress.
    • Excellent customer service skills; help team members and new clients feel welcome and comfortable.

    Administrative Assistant (School)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    General 

    • Comply with policy and procedures regarding Confidentiality, Child Protection, Sexual Harassment and make sure that all Staff abide by these.
    • Respect the confidentiality of all matters relating to the School, staff, pupils, and families.
    • Attend appropriate training courses.
    • Attend staff meetings and other meetings as directed by the School Management.
    • Participate in monthly supervision and annual performance management/appraisal.

    Operational

    • Greet visitors, answer enquiries, and create a welcoming environment
    • Assist with data entry in the system.
    • Schedule appointments, meetings and reservations as needed.
    • Daily reconciliation of entries between the physical and the system.
    • Welcome visitors and direct them to the relevant office/personnel.
    • Carry out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, making photocopies.
    • Coordinate and manage appointments, meetings, and the conference room schedule to prevent duplicate bookings.
    • Maintain general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files related to the school operations.
    • Oversee cleanliness and neatness of office facilities, and equipment.
    • Attend meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. 
    • Update the School’s social networks (Facebook, YouTube, website etc.)
    • Maintain office equipment, tools and work areas (e.g. cleaning, load supplies, clear paper jams, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a safe working environment and the availability of items within a specific time frame. 
    • Keep records, maintain and be in charge of the stationery store of the school.
    • Perform other relevant duties when needed.
    • Assist with School events (including, but not limited to, Thanksgiving Day, Talent’s day, etc.).
    • Troubleshoot copiers, scanners and other office equipment.

    Skills
    Key Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
    • Perfect computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, strong initiative and ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude.
    • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Admin Assistant
    • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
    • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and copiers
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus

    Class Teacher (CBC, Grade 7-9)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
    • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
    • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
    • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
    • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
    • Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
    • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
    • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
    • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

    Head Teacher (Primary School)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee day-to-day school operations 
    • Manage school logistics and budgets
    • Set learning goals for students and teachers based on national curricula
    • Monitor and report on teacher performance
    • Present data from school performance to board members
    • Research new resources and techniques to improve teaching 
    • Interview and hire school personnel
    • Review and implement school policies
