    Regional ICT Officer

    Regional ICT Officer Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • To provide first line support on all general and Commission specific software and hardware issues in the regions;
    • To communicate information on hardware and software issues to corporate ICT Services;
    • Solve regional ICT issues including remote access, emails and telephone;
    • To assist in the selection and disposal of redundant ICT Equipment;
    • To dismantle, move and reassemble ICT equipment as needed and transport ICT equipment to other sites as required;
    • Provide onsite technical support with hardware and software issues where needed, including travelling to other commission sites in their region of responsibility;
    • Provide ICT point of contact to all users and third parties for all regional ICT matters, and escalate to ICT at the
    • Headquarters issues that cannot be resolved locally;
    • To ensure the maintenance of a healthy, safe and secure working environment through ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements in relation to ICT; and
    • Implement information security at the regional level as directed by the ICT directorate.

    Qualifications and Experience for the Regional ICT Officer Job

    • Degree in Computer Science or any other equivalent qualification;
    • Full certification in Networks (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) or Microsoft Certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional) required;
    • Basic hardware troubleshooting and maintenance strongly preferred;
    • Three (3) years of relevant industry experience in a busy organization;
    • Must be a team player, service oriented, eager to learn and pro-active, willing to develop initiatives and stress resistant;

    Regional Elections Coordinator

    Regional Elections Coordinator Job Duties And Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of regional strategies, work plans and budgets while ensuring the alignment of these activities to the overall Commission strategy;
    • Facilitate and monitor the delivery of effective and efficient regional election operation services including voter registration, voter education, electoral cycle execution, warehouse and logistics systems activities;
    • Develop accountability measurements, monitor the performance indicators at the regional and constituency levels and ensure the timely preparation of periodic reports;
    • Coordinate the voter registration, voter education and election operation processes at regional and constituency levels through ensuring the timely availability of the requisite resources;
    • Liaise with regional administrative and security official to facilitate all election activities;
    • Maintain a good public image for the commission at the regional constituency levels;

    • Facilitate the returning officers and formation of committee to plan the logistics of electoral operation in the respective region;
    • Forster public relations with stakeholders in the region to facilitate electoral operations in the respective region;
    • Compile stakeholders’ complaints, resolve minor conflicts prior to escalation and forward them to headquarters;
    • Monitor and report on political campaigns that are conducted in the region;
    • Supervise elections and electoral training in the region to build capacity on electoral operations and electoral conduct for staff; and
    • Prepare reports on electoral operations in the respective regions.

    Requirements for the Regional Elections Coordinator Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences and related discipline from a recognized institution;
    • Post graduate qualification in the relevant field;

    Project Coordinator

    • Provide general leadership in the management of the Electoral Risk Management project;
    • Conduct quality control and analysis on all data generated in the Electoral Risk Management project;

    Elections Coordinator

    Elections Coordinator Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide management support, develop and oversee the implementation of strategies, policies, plans and budgets at the constituency level while ensuring the alignment of these to the regional and overall Commission strategies;
    • Ensure that election operation activities at the constituency level comply with internal controls and budget restrictions;

    Requirements for the Elections Coordinator Job

    • Minimum undergraduate degree from a recognized University;
    • A minimum of six (6) years working experience in management of public affairs;
    • Proven experience in results-based management, monitoring and evaluation or managing election process is an added advantage;
    • Must be computer literate. Good negotiation, planning and coordination skills;
    • Additional training, professional qualification and experience of fieldwork will be an advantage; and

    Legal Officer

    • Support in the follow up on investigations and prosecution of electoral offenses and breach of electoral code of conduct;

    • Assist in legal research and electoral reform to develop informed legal opinions and make strong legislative proposals.

    Requirements for the Legal Officer Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution;
    • Post graduate diploma in law;
    • Member of LSK of good standing;
    • Knowledge of advocacy;
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation;
    • Good interpretation of the law;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Social Sciences from a recognized institution;
    • MBA in any management field;
    • Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or Certified Public Secretaries;
    • Member of Institute of Human Resource Management or any other related Institution; and
    • 10 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.
