    In-direct Sales Manager

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Manager Home Channel Sales & Acquisition, the position holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of approved Home solutions route to market strategies across the indirect channel within the trade.

    She/he will work with the Home Solutions team, Segments, Technology and RSO teams to identify develop and implement Home Solutions products and services through the 3rd party channel partners/dealers.

    This role will also be responsible for managing indirect channel partners and working with their staff to push the home agenda.

    Responsibilities for the In-direct Sales Manager Job

    • To identify the set of partners to collaborate with whilst laying out the clear working strategies of the same.
    • To Identify growth prospects and specific opportunities in the estates/households space (in collaboration with the chosen partners) to achieve revenue targets and KPIs for Home Solutions product lines.
    • Devise strategic plans for estates/households penetration (in collaboration with the chosen partners) thus guide and implement the sales team on tactical plan execution
    • Manage new and existing products and propositions within Home Solutions portfolio.
    • Guide the development and execution of portfolio products strategies to capture value from existing products through effective growth stimulation and new products adoption
    • Drive customer/Usage value through use of Home Solutions products.
    • Identify, develop, evaluate go to market strategy based on insights and business objectives.
    • Perform needs analysis at prospective customers and market segments as well as use business analytics insights to identify opportunities and create winning propositions for the Home Solutions portfolio.
    • Ensure delivery of right propositions with new and current products mapped to Home Solutions.
    • Create and manage winning partnerships through effective governance with key stakeholders, internal/external.
    • Drive the launch of new Safaricom Home solutions and ensure successful go-to-market & activation
    • Evaluate financial aspect of products such as budget
    • To develop and implement the home sales plan in line with the overall business objectives.

    Requirements for the In-direct Sales Manager Job

    • Degree in Commerce or a business related field;
    • A combination of commercial skills and field sales experience skills with at least 2 years’ experience in a related filed role driving growth through products with third parties/partners;
    • Analytical ,self-driven team player proactive result oriented;
    • Certification in Marketing (CIM, MSK certifications or any other recognized certification) is a key added advantage
    • Knowledge/ Work experience in selling fiber or ISP products will be an added advantage;
    • Strong relationship building skills, preferably from a major blue chip company;
    • Ability to inspire and manage a partner sales team, deliver results and meet and surpass targets;

    Revenue Analyst Contractor (SMS)

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue Assurance, the individual, with guidance from the manager, will ensure voice & SMS related leakages are detected within SLA and closed or mitigated in line with revenue assurance policies as well as provide assurance to the business of the end-to-end integrity of all the prepay top up channels both in the external and internal ecosystem.

    Responsibilities for the Revenue Analyst Contractor Job

    • Ensure that new voice & SMS products, services, and promotions are functioning as intended and billing correctly and assured on time
    • Ensure that voice & SMS product, service and promotion post launch reviews are carried out regularly they are functioning as intended and billing correctly
    • Carry out daily switch to bill end –to-end reconciliations for voice and SMS (Switch/SMSC to billing systems) to ensure all billable transactions have billed and variances are within defined margins.
    • Carry out daily reconciliations of voice & SMS revenues from the RA (Revenue Assurance) system, BI (Business Intelligence) and Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems; any discrepancies should be investigated and closed within SLA (Service Level Agreement)
    • Ensure that all rating and billing systems are accurately set up with the voice & SMS products and services, and are aligned with the approved business rules to ensure minimal revenue loss.
    • Track Implementation of Corrective Actions and revenue recoveries noted during voice & SMS related reviews
    • Daily KPI (Key Performance Indicator) trending and tracking of all voice & SMS related products and services
    • Monthly KPI reporting on voice & SMS related revenues
    • Trending & analysis of all vouchers, non-vouchers top-ups, loans & repayments between the respective top-up systems. Any anomalies in the trends to be escalated to the respective teams for correction
    • Daily monitoring of all exceptions in the top-ups vs. sales analysis. Follow up of variances to ensure zero revenue loss. Where necessary, escalation to Fraud teams.
    • Daily reconciliation of corporate airtime top-ups and pin-less airtime top-ups with sales orders.
    • Follow up of variances to ensure zero revenue loss. Where necessary, escalation to Fraud teams.
    • Reconciliation between manual computation of subscriber balances vs. Oracle balances on the daily snapshot. Escalation of any variances noted to the relevant teams for resolution

    Revenue Analyst Contractor (MPESA)

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue Assurance, the individual, with guidance from the manager, will provide assurance to the business on billing and revenue reporting of M-PESA Business Services and products within Financial Services. This will be achieved by ensuring that all existing and new products and services within Financial Services are adequately reviewed and revenue and commission tariffs appropriately configured.

    Additionally, they will provide assurance on end-to-end integrity of all the VAS (Value Added Services) revenues and Customer Acquisitions. They will also be responsible for the assurance of new products and/or promotions through a guided Product lifecycle management process.

    Responsibilities for the Revenue Analyst Contractor Job

    • Perform end to end reconciliations of M-PESA service revenues and commissions to confirm accuracy and completeness of reported revenues and commissions.
    • Ensure that all M-PESA core tariffs and bands are accurately configured and are billing correctly.
    • Maintain a daily dashboard of M-PESA revenues and commission payment trends and escalate any anomalies.
    • Performing Risk Assessments on new product propositions and/or promotions and highlighting risks to the respective project/ product leads
    • Carrying out User Acceptance Tests during the product development phase and providing assurance on product functionality during and after go-live Carry out post-product launch reviews and review performance against the initial Business Cases
    • Ensure that value added services and short term promotions are functioning as intended and billing correctly and assured on time

    IP & Capacity Sales

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Wholesale Services the position holder will grow IP& Capacity wholesale revenues and will develop a retention strategy that ensures churn is minimized. The position holder will also develop partnership with ISPs to support revenues for IP& Capacity stream (both national and regional players).

    Requirements for the IP & Capacity Sales Job

    • A recognized University Degree in a Business related field; Masters of Business Administration degree is an added advantage
    • Experience and technical skills in telecommunications industry and sound knowledge of International Telecommunications Services is a mandatory requirement
    • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in the telecommunications sector which must include establishing and managing international carrier relations and Capacity sales arrangements
    • At least 3 years sales experience. Experience in projects management is an added advantage.
