• Our client in Manufacturing of Hygiene and Sanitary items located in Ruiru is looking for till the position of an electrician who will be tasked with conducting routine maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance,Install and configure new electrical equipment and systems and adhere to electrical codes and safety regulations.

Job Description

• Electrical Maintenance and Repair:
• Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Installation and Upgrades:
• Install and configure new electrical equipment and systems as per company requirements.
• Upgrade outdated electrical components to improve efficiency and safety.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to electrical codes and safety regulations to ensure the workplace remains hazard-free.
• Perform safety checks on electrical systems and resolve potential risks promptly.
• Ensure all equipment complies with regulatory standards and hygiene requirements in a sanitary environment.
• Support for Manufacturing Processes:
• Collaborate with production teams to address electrical issues impacting productivity.
• Maintain proper electrical supply to critical processes, including packaging, sterilization, and other hygiene-related operations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Report recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to improve system reliability.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of electrical parts and tools and request replenishments when necessary.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical supplies and tools.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial setting, preferably in manufacturing or hygiene and sanitary industries.
• Hands-on experience with automated machinery and industrial control systems.
