Field Officer - 2 Positions at Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan)

AAR Japan is seeking for two Field Officers for the abovementioned project. The successful candidate will be on duty at AAR Japan Kakuma Office, which is located in Kakuma, Turkana West, Turkana County. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of Project Officers. The details of the position in concern are as follows.

Duties;

• Carry all duties under the direct supervision of the Project Officers;
• Liaise with stakeholders (local authorities, local-led organizations in communities or other agencies in education sector) to select beneficiaries, arrange trainings/workshops/event, develop project schedule and logistics, conduct post-survey to assess the impact of the project;
• Support the Project Officers in necessary arrangements for the project, analysis and documentation of collected data, and any other assistance needed;
• Draft a monthly report and submit to the Project Officers every month to report the progress of the project implementation;
• Perform any other duties instructed by AAR Japan’s international staff or the Project Officers

Requirements;

• More than 1 years’ experience in humanitarian work;
• Work experience with UN agencies or international NGOs is highly valued;
• Experience in distribution is highly valued;
• Fluent language skills of English;
• Additional language skills, especially Ng’aturkana is highly valued;
• Deep understanding on local communities in Turkana West, especially Kalobeyei, is highly valued;
• Team-work skills;
• PC skills (Microsoft Office is a must);

Period (subject to change due to internal circumstances);

• From 31st March 2023 to 31st December 2023 with 3-month probation period

Salary (Gross);

Gross amount of 53,600 KES to 62,000 KES per month (amount will be determined based on experiences or skills)
