    Head of Commercial Operations - Jumia On-Demand Services

    Main Responsibilities

    •  Business steering - monthly, weekly and daily from topline to bottom line and on key deviations vs BP with commercial teams
    •  Supporting to define, coordinate and execute promotional events, from Black Friday and Jumia Anniversary to weekly commercial events
    • Coordinating the execution and analysing the impact of the Commercial Teams Performance Steering Actions (PSAs) with the Acquisition teams 
    • Ensuring Jumia is offering the lowest prices on its assortment by scanning, mapping and comparing Jumia and its competitors’ SKUs several times a week (“Phoenix Process”)
    • Tracking and managing our delivery fee and commission strategy to ensure Jumia remains competitive 
    • Weekly analysis of Jumia's actual trajectory versus business plan
    •  Ensure all performance steering files are collated in order to deliver actionable insights per market
    •  Building and maintaining training/SOP files to a high standard
    • Centralising all BI requests from local and central commercial teams to ensure commercial has specs for each development needed and receive the right level of prioritisation by the BI team
    • Provide operational support to the management teams as required 

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 5+ years' experience and significant experience in eCommerce, Management Consulting, Venture Capital, Company Creation or Category Management (Retail) would be appreciated
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (VBA would be a plus)
    • Ability to analyse large data sets to make strategic decisions
    • Amazing analytical skills
    • Organised and Structured
    • Fast learner
    • Good interpersonal skills: A natural people manager, inspiring and motivating colleague effectively
    • Resistant to stress
    • Very independent with a strong ability to surpass expectations
