The head of sales will spearhead the sales department through critical elements of setting sales team goals, forecasting sales, planning sales itinerary, and reporting on day-to-day sales progress. The head of sales will set strategies on growing the current customer base towards propelling the business for growth.
Job Description
Champion growth and realization of the set sales target by the organization by successfully managing the sales team.
Partner in communication of goals, performance targets, and tracking of the performance for the sales representatives.
Direct and develop the sales team with timely feedback, to modify and improve performance standards ensuring the delivery of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs to increase sales.
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Develop strategies for market penetration.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of the sales team.
Participate in high-level negotiations with key clients.
Support the sales team in closing strategic deals.
Cultivate and maintain key client relationships.
Collaborate with the team to address client needs and concerns.
Gather and use customer insights to refine sales strategies.
Plan and ensure attendance strategic sales meetings.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Admin, or related field
Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytic tools.
5+ years in FMCG sales, with at least 3-4 years in management level.
Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and team management skills with a focus on motivation and performance.
Analytical skills to interpret sales data and make strategic decisions.
