Product Manager at Reeds Africa Consult

• Our client is looking for an experienced & skilled Technical Product Manager (PM) to take full ownership of our core platform's strategy, ensuring it aligns with business requirements for scalability, stability, and security. Will be in charge of spearheading revenue growth through strategic planning, effective team management, and innovation in product development. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, oversee the product development lifecycle, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to position products successfully in the market. 

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business goals
• Identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive innovation.

Revenue Growth:

• Drive aggressive revenue growth through effective product positioning and market penetration. 
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop revenue generation plans.

Product Development:

• Clear understanding of the product and product development process to be able to oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
• Work closely with our program teams and learn from our customers in the field to develop products and/or product features that dramatically increase our operational efficiency and position the business for a radical scale

Team Management:

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment and leverage it through teaching, guiding, and coaching others 
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Market Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to identify new opportunities
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Qualification & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: - Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience 5-7 years as a product manager and should be familiar with the Telecom/VAS industry such as Safaricom/Airtel/Telcom and a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and successful product launches.
