Sales Consultant (Dealer Business)

1. We are seeking to recruit a Sales Consultant for our used car division, Dealer Business Department.
2. The ideal candidate will be based in Nairobi and will report to the Dealer Business Manager.
3. The purpose of the role is to achieve and exceed set Sales targets of exported vehicle from Japan in terms of volumes and Gross Profit.
4. The main responsibilities for the role include:
5. Responsible for the achievement of individual target for sales volume and Gross Profit
6. Visit used car dealer’s showroom to sell exported vehicles on behalf of the head office in Japan.
7. Responsible for the sales negotiation with the clients including the documentation
8. Follow up all deals up-to delivery including trouble shooting
9. Review and discuss weekly activity and productivity reports with the Management
10. Check the car auctions in Japan and make offers to clients
11. Support the documentation and any administrative duties for the department
12. Arrange for the delivery of documents and any other related documents to the dealers

Knowledge/Skills & Experience required to perform effectively

1. Bachelors’ Degree in Sales and Marketing/ Engineering or related field from a recognized institution
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B sales
3. Minimum of 3 years vehicle sales experience to the dealers in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
4. Knowledge for import duty and custom clearance in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
5. Product knowledge for Japanese vehicles, Auto Auctions in Japan and Auction sheet
6. Excellent communication, negotiation Skills and Keen to detail
7. Strong Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
8. Experienced working with Japanese and understands the work environment
