    General Manager/Business Developer (Hospitality)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and sales & marketing strategies.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis and increase brand awareness.
    • Manage the hotel operations, budgets/expenses and monitor sales and profits.
    • Handling maintenance issues, equipment and renovations.
    • Lead generation and identifying new opportunities.
    • Liaise with external parties and reviewing service contracts with them i.e., suppliers, travel agencies and event/conference planners.
    • Ensure the hotels products and services are of quality standards.
    • Inspect facilities regularly and ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health & safety standards.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or relevant field.
    • Must have at least 4 years of experience in hotel management.
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience in Sales and Marketing.
    • Great attention to detail, strong leadership, and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills as well as have a business mindset.
    • Skilled in decision-making, problem-solving, planning and organizing.
    • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
    • Knowledge of hotel management software.

    Sous Chef

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
    • Prepare and cook food using various kitchen appliances.
    • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
    • Monitor stock, place orders when there are shortages and check quality of ingredients.

    Qualifications:

    Head Chef

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the assigned department to produce high quality products consistent with the hotel’s policies.
    • Ensure adherence to proper cooking methods and presentation of food with colourful & artistic flair.
    • Ensure correct items and amount of food is prepared prior to food service and is stored correctly.
    • Interacting with guests during their stay and obtaining feedback.
    • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure that the employees adhere to the same.
    • Ensure adherence to the hygiene in the department and all equipment is well cleaned and stored.
    • Maintain discipline in the department according to the property and company standards.
    • Manage, train, review, implement and give feedback to employees on their job performance.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Relevant Bachelors degree.
    • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a high-end hotel.
    • Must have a good understanding of dietary requirements, stock rotation and control.
    • Excellent time management, hosting, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have working knowledge of international menu costing and design and establish a cost management plan.
    • Must have a good understanding of menu compilation, international cuisine & up to date market trends.

    Sales and Marketing/Receptionist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Welcome and check-in guests with warmth and professionalism.
    • Assist in the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Manage guest check-outs efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and a pleasant Check Out experience.
    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously, utilizing upselling techniques to introduce guests to additional services, room upgrades, or special offers.
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and services to assist guests effectively.
    • Handle cash and credit card transactions, including processing payments.
    • Keep the reception area organized and visually appealing.
    • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a seamless guest experience, including coordinating with the General manager to promote special offers or events during check-in or check-out, and actively participating in upselling initiatives to boost revenue.

    Qualifications.

    • Must have a Diploma in Front Office, or a related field.
    • Must have Prior experience as a receptionist, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional Sales and customer service orientation with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
    • Proficiency in using hotel management software and basic computer applications.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

    Waiter/Mixologist/Barista

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate a good understanding of the menu and make recommendations.
    • Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
    • Present bills accurately, process payments, and return change or receipts.
    • Maintain personal hygiene, adhere to dress code, and follow safety protocols.
    • Ensure the Crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
    • Taking accurate food and drink orders correctly and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
    • Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.

    • Must have a certificate/diploma in Food and Beverage.
    • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a high-end restaurant.
    • Good oral and written communication skills (English & Swahili).

    • He/she should be a good team player and possess excellent customer service skills.
    • Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.

    Kitchen Steward

    Responsibilities.

    • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
    • Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
    • Assist chefs and kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and cleaning ingredients.
    • Collect and dispose of kitchen and food waste, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
    • Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.

    Requirements.

    • High school Certificate or equivalent.
    • Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
