    Performance, Learning & Impact Advisor

    Role Deliverables: 

    • Oversee the generation, analysis and dissemination of regional data and evidence as part of IPPF Strategic Results Framework. Oversee data quality assurance ensuring performance and evaluation data is tracked, current, cleansed, accurate and consistent for reporting and decision-making purposes. 
    • Matching data with narratives and stories to better illustrate impact in collaboration with Communications, Advocacy and Resources Mobilization team (for example with the compilation of relevant statistics or the development of project-based indicators). 
    • Advising and supporting colleagues on monitoring, evaluation and key result areas and supporting MAs to strengthen systems and data quality. Supporting colleagues working with IPPF Member Associations (MAs) with the management and regular improvement of the MAs database. Advising colleagues, stakeholders and partners on new approaches/practices within the PL&I field, incorporating these into the implementation of corrective actions that address data weaknesses. 
    • Networking with Global PL&I team to develop the function. Devising and advising on effective and efficient monitoring and evaluation tools, frameworks, processes, systems and training. 
    • Supporting MAs processes such as business planning, mid and end of year reporting, strategic programming, etc. 
    • Supervising qualitative research that optimizes progress, knowledge (including good practices) sharing and leading-edge thinking. 
    • Adapting global tools and frameworks based on continuous feedback, changes in data methodologies and general sectoral advancements. 
    • Building networks with regional interlocutors to drive a culture of continuous learning. 
    • Evolving & optimizing data analysis to Secretariat and Member Associations to enhance programming and decision-making. 
    • Leading and organizing the planning, evaluation and monitoring processes of the office as well as organizational retreats. 
    • Adhering to the safeguarding reporting and monitoring requirements of this role.

    Key Skills/Expertise: 

    1. Track record of excellent M&E implementation at regional or national level in a programmatic and development sector setting. 
    2. Evidence of developing and using digital tools and systems to enable effective performance tracking, evaluation and knowledge sharing. 
    3. Ability to interact with, coach, train and present to diverse, multicultural and multilingual groups. 
    4. Facilitation and Training skills with evidence of intervention design and development (i.e.: action centered learning practitioner). 
    5. Evidence of embedding standards and performance measures delivering tangible improvements to benefit impact and performance. 
    6. Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail and evidence of using quant/qual data to inform decision-making. 
    7. Excellent writing and presentation skills with evidence of coherent, evidence-based reporting. 
    8. High level of organisational skills, planning and time-management with the ability to adapt to changing needs, multitask and meet tight deadlines. 
    9. Readiness to coordinate and work with other team members within the region and from other regions, as well as Member Associations and other stakeholders. 
    10. Excellent IT skills.

    12. Fluency in French and English is essential, good command of Portuguese is an asset

    Regional External Relations Director

    Role Deliverables: 

    • Develop and implement a progressive regional plan to deliver on IPPF Strategy2028, ensuring it complements global and regional plans. 
    • Ensure a strategic eye across business development and strategic engagements along with regional colleagues to support regional and country level fundraising. Responsible for ensuring the team is able and willing to prioritize business development. Ensures two way sharing of information across the regional office, and with the global and national teams. 
    • Build an evolving network of stakeholders, influencers, and partners, as well as knowledge managements on trends and opposition monitoring to inform/strengthen/prioritize action. 
    • Measure and track key result areas, impacts and change to adapt/respond with agility. 
    • Distil IPPF’s identity and voice to speak to key stakeholders; develops a position/key messages on strategic/emerging themes. 
    • Gather intelligence and commissions research, leveraged through the global External Relations team, to deepen understanding and strengthen positioning/influencing/delivery. 
    • Prioritise and focus on engagement with key strategic bodies to maintain presence and influence that will deliver tangible benefits. 
    • Create an environment that nurtures and leverages disruptive partnerships and strategic community networks 
    • Prioritise, connect and amplify campaigns, placing MA and local voices at the forefront to advocate for the Federation . 
    • Oversee the framing, activation and 2obilization of high impact media and social media activity that builds on the work of Mas and acts with youth. Ensuring stories/impacts are captured and narrated in engaging andimpactful ways. 
    • Lead on crisis management for the Region, connecting and escalating with Global Comms, Voice and Media as required. 
    • Create an environment where people perform at their best, leading and developing a team with the skills, drive, diversity and expertise to deliver. Acting as a role model for safeguarding, anti-racism and IPPF’s Code of Conduct. 
    • Support and enable a safe environment, adhering to the safeguarding reporting and monitoring requirements of this role. 

    Key Skills/Expertise: 

    1. Track record in political influencing, inter-governmental negotiations and measurable change in SRHR related work internationally, with an emphasis on regional engagement. 
    2. Track record of speaking out on sensitive issues, ensuring voice and agency. Evidence of inspiring and delivering cultural change; setting the tone of voice, ensuing values and integrity on SRHR inform decision making and setting the pace for a high performing team that can meaningfully connect with national and global partners. 
    3. Demonstrable record in resource mobilization and maintaining donor relations in the Africa region.
    4. Has led policy/legislative change, campaigns and communication strategies at a regional level across multiple stakeholders and coalitions, including marginalised groups. 
    5. Strong understanding of and experience in gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice. 
    6. Evidence of the ability to flex style in a diverse and multi-cultural environment to build positive relationships, combining drive with diplomacy. 
    7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills 
    8. Fluency in French and English is essential, good command of Portuguese is an asset

    Senior Finance Officer

    Role Deliverables: 

    1. Prepare budgets and identify and evaluate any unreconciled differences and ensure corrections are made, in agreement with the finance hub. Collaborate with the Head of corporate services and ensure delivery in a timely and accurate manner, the secretariat budgets & forecasts. 
    2. Organise systems/ processes in collaboration with the finance hub, to ensure timely and accurate maintenance of master data elements relating to the secretariat office on Netsuite. This includes data relating to suppliers, partners, employees, donors, chart of accounts, etc., in accordance with global policies and frameworks. 
    3. Organise and supervise timely and accurate posting, in alignment with the global finance manual, of: 
    4. Invoices/ Bills/ Payment Demands Including Payroll, Suppliers, Expenses and Statutory Payments. 
    5. Per Diem (Cash Payments) Requests and Settlement of Travel And Workshop Advances. 
    6. All Inflows Including Donations, Grants, Intercompany Receipts, Advance Returns, Etc. 
    7. Completion Of Time Sheets in collaboration with the Office Admin/ Hr Staff. 
    8. Journals Relating to Advance Adjustments, Outstanding Reconciliation Items, Payroll Posting, 
    9. Quarterly Payment Requests ensuring accurate and timely payment to secretariat office. 
    10. Oversee and collaborate with the team in the finance hub to make all payments within the due date. 
    11. Collaborate with the HR and project teams to ensure timely and accurate processing and posting of payroll amounts. 
    12. Responsible for the accounting and management of all fixed assets. 
    13. Organise and oversee alignment of financial activities to ensure month end closure timelines are fully met. 
    14. Oversee up to date record keeping; and support the planning and logistics for the ARO staff; 
    15. Ensure strong compliance framework exists including support to ensure maintenance of the risk register. 
    16. Oversee maintenance of relationships with bankers, local auditors, statutory bodies, local vendors, and others. 
    17. Oversee and where required liaise with local suppliers and staff on any payment and reconciliation issues. 
    18. Organise/ supervise timely generation of reports and responses to queries raised by the internal and/ or external auditors. 
    19. Supervise generation of periodic financial reports, including budget vs actual, cash flow and other adhoc reports for the senior management. 
    20. Oversee and organise, in collaboration with the Head of Corporate Services, all local office legal and financial compliance requirements. 
    21. Support the IPPFAR colleagues with any netsuite and grant accounting issues. 
    22. Remain abreast of the latest financial and compliance requirements and best practices. 
    23. Adhere to the safeguarding reporting and monitoring requirements of this role. 
    24. Support and enable a safe environment, adhering to the safeguarding reporting and monitoring requirements of this role. 

    Key skills/Expertise: 

    1. Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) 
    2. Strong knowledge and understanding of NetSuite One World solution and used to working with various currencies. 
    3. Excellent use of Microsoft office suite of applications including excel, word and power point. 
    4. Experience of working with global systems & processes – dealing with multiple currencies. 
    5. Experience of working internationally, ideally in a not for profit & often challenging environment; 
    6. Experience in audit and financial control systems. A track-record in SRHR programming is an advantage. 
    7. Excellent interpersonal skills - articulate and diplomatic. Ability to interact with diverse groups; 
    8. Excellent written communication skills; 
    9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to summarise and simplify complex information; 
    10. Strong influencing skills; 
    11. Awareness of and sensitivity to the multi-cultural environment in which IPPFAR operates;

    Youth Networker

    Role Deliverables: 

    • Organize youth action to ensure that the region has an IPPF youth network that is inclusive of marginalized groups, working to advance in the goals of the new strategy with MAs. Support Regional Youth Networks where they already exist to set and/or deliver on their plans, support set-up where they do not. 
    • Advise on how to ensure the direct involvement of youth participation and youth led accountability within the region and the member associations. Oversee and contribute to the Regional Youth Forums and Global Youth Forums. 
    • Guides and supervises the regional work for the inclusion of a youth perspective that ensures the participation and amplification of youth voices into design, evaluation and implementation of the initiatives organised by the Secretariat, for example advocacy, workshop design, communications etc. 
    • Recommends on how to create a grow pathway in the Federation, creating momentum and building engagement with regional networks, identifying and promoting younger leaderships and activism, mentoring strategies and growing opportunities. 
    • Amplifies the voice of youth within the Secretariat and how to create a safe environment that encourages/develops young people, ensures diversity, anti-racism and safeguarding of people and finances. 
    • Is a champion for Youth centered action within the Secretariat and amplify youth voices into the work of the Secretariat 
    • Support MAs to develop youth networks in their location of work and foster youth centricity/ youth led programming in their local work in collaboration with Architects of Cooperation. 
    • Support and enable a safe environment, adhering to the safeguarding reporting and monitoring requirements of this role. 

    Key Skills/Expertise: 

    • Informed and passionate about the work of IPPF and an advocate for what we stand for. 
    • Experience working with youth groups and amplifying voices. 
    • Ability to relate to people from different cultures and backgrounds in a positive and engaging way. 
    • Good time management, co-ordination and organizing skills.
