    Product Manager – Enterprise Document Management

    • The Product Manager – Enterprise Document Management is responsible for shaping and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Equity Group’s enterprise document and records management system, driving the transition to a paperless organization.   
    • The Product Manager – Enterprise Digitization will be responsible for shaping and executing the Enterprise applications/product vision and strategy that accelerates Equity Group’s digital transformation agenda in alignment with the Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan (ARRP).  
    • Reporting to the Sr. Product Manager, this role will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of innovative, scalable, and inclusive products that empower customers, enhance operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth across Equity Group’s markets.  

    THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Product Management:  

    • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for document management and paperless process products, including requirements definition, feature prioritization, and roadmap planning.  
    • Drive adoption and integration of digital signature, workflow automation, and document capture technologies (Example: Docusign, Newgen OmniDocs, Omiscan).  
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions across business units.  
    • Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product enhancements and process improvements.  
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards for document management and digital processes.  

    Stakeholder Collaboration:  

    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into actionable product features.  
    • Communicate product vision, updates, and releases to internal teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.  

     Documentation & Reporting:   

    • Coordinate with IT and development teams to deliver integrations and feature enhancements. 
    • Document product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for all features and enhancements.  
    • Prepare regular reports on project progress, product performance, and user feedback for management and stakeholders.   

    Continuous Improvement:    

    • Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization within document management and paperless processes.  
    • Evaluate and implement new features and technologies to improve user experience and operational efficiency

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS    

    • 3+ years of experience in product management, 5 years overall experience, ideally within banking, fintech, or enterprise IT environments.  
    • Experience delivering document management and paperless solutions in regulated environments.  
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.  
    • Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum, SAFe) methodologies.

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).  
    • Certifications in Product Management, Change Management, Agile methodologies including but not limited to /Scrum/SAFe certifications is a plus.

    Relationship Officer -Biashara Banking

    Key Responsibilities:

    Onboarding and Customer Management:

    • Onboard retailers and customers across various Ecosystem value chains and digital platforms (PWE, EAZZY APP, etc.).
    • Identify prospective leads and recruit new customers.
    • Conduct outreach and manage relationships for customer retention.
    • Utilize existing partnerships to expand the customer base.

    Loan Processing and Compliance:

    • Guide customers through the loan application process, including business and home visits to verify financial information and securities.
    • Ensure timely loan approval and disbursement within SLAs.
    • Present client requests for approval and manage security perfection and disbursement.
    • Initiate recovery processes for overdue accounts.

    Marketing and Sales:

    • Conduct marketing outreach to onboard new customers.
    • Cross-sell and upsell bank products.
    • Recruit ecosystems by leveraging established relationships.

    Training and Policy Adherence:

    • Train branch staff on Biashara Banking lending policies, procedures, and new products.
    • Ensure compliance with credit policies and act as the custodian of bank policy in the branch.

    Customer Service and Support:

    • Provide high-standard customer service, fast-track loan processes, and give prompt feedback on loan requests.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the branch environment.
    • Mobilize clients for financial literacy training and guide them on maintaining proper records.

    Portfolio and Relationship Management:

    • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio management toolkit for efficient customer follow-up.
    • Conduct post-disbursement visits and baseline all customers.

    Deposit Mobilization and Documentation:

    • Mobilize deposits

    Qualifications

    • University degree holder with preference in Education, Social sciences, or Business-related field.
    • Overall mean grade of C+ in KCSE
    • 3-4 Years’ experience
    • Experience in micro finance industry is an added advantage.
    • Experienced in project management; Monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage.
    • Sales experience is an added advantage.
    • Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
    • Excellent business relationship management skills and business closure techniques.
    • Ability to develop, plan, execute and implement according to laid business strategies.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated conflicts resolution skills.

    Relationship Officer - Personal Banking

    Key Responsibilities       

    Customer Onboarding and Training:

    • Onboard and train customers on digital platforms.

    Client Acquisition and Marketing:

    • Acquire new customers through marketing and institutional visits to private institutions, NGOs, parastatals, and government institutions.
    • Conduct strategic marketing drives and forums, including counties and schools.

    Customer and Institutional Appraisal:

    • Facilitate MOUs and loan facilities through customer and institutional appraisals.

    Loan Processing and Management:

    • Ensure timely loan approvals and disbursements within SLAs.
    • Compile loan applications for discussion at the Branch Credit Committee (BCC).
    • Complete loan contracts by explaining risks, reviewing applications, obtaining signatures, and batch proofing.
    • Review financial data to determine risk factors for decision-making at the BCC.

    Arrears and Post-Disbursement Management:

    • Engage with customers daily to manage arrears.
    • Conduct post-disbursement visits to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.

    Client Assistance and Relationship Management:

    • Assist clients in determining the most suitable loan to meet their financial objectives and needs.
    • Promptly follow up on customer complaints until resolved.
    • Maintain and manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

    Deposit Mobilization and Documentation:

    • Mobilize deposits

    Qualifications

    Qualifications, Experience

    • University degree in a Business-Related Course, Education, Social Sciences or Advanced Diploma in business related course.
    • Overall C+ in KCSE (C+ in mathematics)
    • 2-3 Years’ experience
    • Sales experience is an added advantage.
    • Experienced in project management; Monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage.
    • Computer literacy with high command in Microsoft suite.
