Job Description

This role is responsible for the development and execution of the sales and customer retention strategy for IFA channel. This includes recruiting and managing Independent Financial Advisors to achieve channel revenue, persistency and profitability targets.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities.

• Manages sales & expense budget for a IFA team against set targets.
• Responsible for distribution strategy of products within the country.
• Accountable for local marketing.
• Identifies & creates coordinated sales opportunities.
• Build relationships, networks with external stakeholders, potential alliances and clients.
• Ensures delivery of customer value.
• Manages, develops, appoints & trains IFAs and IFA Consultants
• Responsible for the external relationship management with key stakeholders.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with Internal stakeholders.
• Manages daily operational (client service and or administrative) delivery within the specific functional area
• Creates a climate for optimal performance.
• Gather market intelligence on competitor activity and advise the business on opportunities and threats

Knowledge & Experience & Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge
• 5 years’ experience in business development for financial services or related industry. 3 years must have been in senior leadership
• Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing is required.
• Customer Service & Sales experience will be an added advantage

Key Result Areas

• Extracts data from various internal and external data sources.
• Performs data manipulation and descriptive/ exploratory data analysis
• Responsible for creating end to end solutions which includes problem definition, data acquisition, data exploration and visualization
• Presents final results to stakeholders.
• Performs statistical analyse and predictive modelling in support of business objectives
• Has a detailed understanding of statistical concepts and application, predictive modelling, machine learning and data science techniques.
• Responsible for the interpretation and statistical analysis of customer and intermediary data.
• Identifies new business opportunities via statistical and data analysis.
• Proactively seeks new knowledge in data science in statistical analysis
• Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others.
• Creates a climate for optimal performance.
• Coaches/ Mentors junior data scientists in the areas of machine learning, statistical analysis and building predictive models
• Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
• May supervise the technical delivery of junior data scientists
• Plans and assigns work over periods of up to 3 months.
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.

Requirements:

• BSc/Bcom Mathematics/Statistics (Honours or Masters) Degree, Data Science related subjects.
• 3-4 years’ Analytical or Statistical experience
