    Junior Sales Representative

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set and achieve annual sales targets including, commercial and Industrial installation projects.
    • Develop opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors for large system installation and programs.
    • Monitor and analyse sales and market trends to develop and implement effective strategic sales plans and actions for both short and long term
    • Develop high brand visibility in East Africa
    • Increase Solar deal network to grow the solar business
    • Implement agreed sales and marketing strategies
    • Track lost business, and start afresh, within a timely service recovery.
    • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying the integration of new acquisitions with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials.
    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts integrating contract requirements with business operations.
    • In liaison with the customer’s service coordinator ensure all customer needs are addressed.
    • Understand consumer market needs, behaviour attitudes, consumer needs and advising management on the same.
    • Assist in formulating and implementing annual marketing and sales strategies.
    • Participate in any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by management.
    • Draw annual sales and marketing budgets for operations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in renewable energy will be an added advantage.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Highly self-motivated.

    Accounts & Admin Assistant Intern

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and expense reports.
    • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
    • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payments from customers and vendors.
    • Verify and post financial transactions to appropriate accounts in the accounting system.
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on financial status, including cash flow, aging reports, and monthly/quarterly financial statements.
    • Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
    • Assist in payroll processing, including maintaining employee records, calculating wages, and preparing payroll reports.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation and submission of tax filings.
    • Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to reconcile financial discrepancies and identify process improvements.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

    Human Resource Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintains work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
    • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; advising managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
    • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
    • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
    • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable labor laws; Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
    • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
    • Maintains historical HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
    • Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
    • Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers. 
    • Co-ordinates Safety Committee meetings and acts as Safety Director.
    • Prepares budget of human resources operations.
    • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
    • Represents organization at HR-related hearings and investigations.
    • Responsible for the general enquiries on behalf of the organization and serves as the liaison between the general public and the organization/ Public Relations Functions

    Administration Functions:

    • Ensures that staff complies with relevant legal & statutory obligations.
    • Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination or exit. 
    • Responsible for driver’s management/ supervision on discipline, dress code, and performance.
    • Responsible for fleet maintenance, repairs, record keeping, insurance & license acquisition.
    • Responsible for the general wellness of office cleaning, hygiene, and safety.
    • Responsible for building and premise security and protection.
    • Responsible for building and premise maintenance and repairs.
    • Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management. 

    Key Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business degree with a focus in Human Resource Management.
    • At least 2-3 years experience in an HR & Admin role
    • Must be a Member of IHRM
    • Must be well conversant with the labor laws and ethical HR practices
    • Completed CHRP -K professional courses or ongoing is an added advantage
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Good oral and written communication skills- 
    • Flexibility – be open to change and new information.
    • Have knowledge of labor laws and government regulations that concern workplaces and employment matters.
