    Head of National Sales

    REF: NKCC/HR.496/HoNS/17/03/2023

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Planning, developing and executing the annual sales strategy, including identifying markets and potential customers.
    • Manage the entire sales staff nationally and coordinate the sales function for the organization.
    • Prepare the national sales annual budget for management approval.
    • Set and facilitate the achievement of periodic sales and performance targets based on the annual budget.
    • In consultation with the head of logistics, develop the optimal distribution structure for the sales function.
    • Liaise with other departments to ensure the availability of resources to achieve sales targets.
    • Develop route-to-market strategies for general trade, key accounts and institutions.
    • Monitoring and managing credit sales especially, key accounts.
    • Plan and coordinate sales events and promotional activities as well as networking with industry members to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Monitoring competitor activities as well as the performance of the company’s products in the market.
    • Managing relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction through regular contact and prompt resolution of issues.
    • Manage distribution channels for product penetration nationally.
    • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

    Qualifications and Person Specifications

    • A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience and at least (5) years in a management role in a relevant position.
    • Master of Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate in leadership course or its equivalent lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Demonstrated results in work performance.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution.

    Head of Employee Relations

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinating, formulating and implementing HR strategies, policies, rules, regulations, and systems for the company.
    • Overseeing human resource planning and development.
    • Overseeing the identification, design and implementation of training programs based on identified needs.
    • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programs and secretary to the training committee.
    • Guiding the development and updating of the human resource database.
    • Overseeing staff induction and on-boarding programs.
    • Coordinating, reviewing and implementing the Human Resource career guidelines.
    • Supervising the effective administration of the payroll system.
    • Reconciliation of staff complement and establishment.
    • Ensuring preparation and compiling staff deductions done outside the payroll.
    • Managing employee relations programs, staff welfare and ensuring staff discipline is maintained.
    • Supervising the update of the human resource database and drawing up a plan for the annual performance target setting for review by management.
    • Managing human resource internal communication and HR information management systems.
    • Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations related to health and safety, HIV/AIDS, Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse, Gender and Disability Mainstreaming and other requirements in the work environment.
    • Preparing and submitting all statutory deductions and processing pension claims.
    • Managing staff separation, supervising, training and developing staff.
    • Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

    Qualifications and Personal Specifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Science, or a Business-Related field or its equivalent.
    • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or any other relevant qualifications.
    • Diploma in Human Resource Management.
    • Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
    • A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience and at least five (5) years in a management role in a position in the public or private sector.
    • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Procurement Manager

    REF: NKCC/HR.496/PM/17/03/2023

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Sourcing of company goods, works and services as per the procurement law.
    • Developing and coordinating the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans and their implementation.
    • Coordinating procurement and disposal activities.
    • Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services.
    • Providing secretariat services to all procurement committees.
    • Providing professional advice on the procurement of goods, works and services and the disposal of assets.
    • Preparing statutory reports to the PPRA.
    • Preparing tenders and sending them out to suppliers.
    • Prepare the purchase order for vendors.
    • Responding to calls and correspondence on inquiries from both internal and external clients.
    • Maintaining the safe custody of tender documents.
    • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans.
    • Providing secretariat to all procurement committees.
    • Carrying out market surveys to ensure the company obtains value for money.
    • Ensure optimal stock levels before purchasing and collaborate with other departments to balance inventory and reduce transportation and storage costs.

    Qualifications and Personal Specifications

    • Have ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a public and private institution, four (4) of which should have been in a management position.
    • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Professional Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) or Certified Procurement and Supplies Profession of Kenya (CPSP-K)
    • A member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or any other professional body recognized by law.
    • Must be a supply chain practitioner licenced by Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Have a management course of not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution.
