    Accounts Receivable Local Contractor Job Requirements

    • Honors degree from a recognized university with at least CPA Part 2 and pursuing final stage of an Accounting qualification.
    • 2-3 years Accounting experience in a well-run company
    • Preparation of accurate and reliable information on debtors for use in the Balance Sheet extraction
    • Understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards and their application
    • Understanding of the tax requirements for sales invoicing
    • Preparation of reconciliations for debtors
    • Ability to identify issues related to management of debtors and take steps to resolve them
    • Ability to relate well with both internal and external customers and work in teams
    • Experience in generation of management reports ie Aged debtors balances, debtors statements
    • Hands on experience working with a computerized accounting system preferably with Oracle application
    • Understanding and enforcement of company approved authority transaction limits
    • Submission of accurate, timely and relevant information for statutory and Internal audit purpose

    Area Sales Manager

    Reporting to the Senior Manager-Regional Sales, the position holder will be responsible for indirect generation of sales revenue through effective management of Safaricom Business in the assigned area. This will be achieved by ensuring availability of the company’s products and services in the area at all times and effectively aligning Dealer distribution to meet the Retail objectives.

    They will also grow Sales within the Area by developing innovative ways of increasing/growing airtime sales at the Point of Purchase; Value added services and connections by ensuring availability of the company products at all times within the area of Accountability.

    Roles for the Area Sales Manager Job

    • Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area.
    • Effectively execute through SFE tool to achieve RED objectives within a sales area.
    • Ensure achievement of set sales and usage targets i.e. Monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually.
    • Prepare, plan and execute Area Sales programs aimed at market penetration, availability of the company products and services at all time.

    Area Sales Manager Job Requirements

    • Degree in a Business related field, preferably marketing with Marketing experience.
    • Diploma in Professional Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing will be an added advantage.
    • Must have at least 4 years working experience in a sales environment.
    • 2 Years must be in distribution preferably FMCG.
    • 2 Years must be in people and team management
    • 1 Year must be in Direct selling and Market development.

    Reporting Analyst

    Reporting to the Manager -Reporting,the job holder will be responsible for data extraction, data Integrity checks, reports generation and analysis to support the divisional management decisions.

    Roles for the Reporting Analyst Job

    • Generate accurate daily reports as per set timelines;
    • Provide 100% accurate analysis on performance trends;
    • Provide commentary on daily, weekly and monthly performance;
    • Provide and manage efficient feedback mechanisms from users of reports and MIS;
    • Liaise with Call Centre managers and other sections for explanations on trends and changes thereof;
      for decision making;
    • In-depth analysis of the focus areas giving insights on performance/process/product improvements;
    • Create innovative reports to support the Division;
    • Ensure all CM reporting requirements are fully met before go-live of new Systems, products, processes & services;
    • Follow up on faster resolution of issues during CM reporting systems downtimes with IT;
    • Consistently interrogate data to confirm accuracy and completeness;
    • Identify any integrity issues/gaps and follow-up for resolution with the relevant teams within the set SLAs;
    • Efficiency in MIS reporting by periodically improving on data retrieval and storage with IT;
    • Liaison with the rest of business to get the necessary data for analytical purposes.

    Reporting Analyst Job Requirements

    • Degree from a recognized university, preferably business degree in Mathematics (operations research), statistics, finance, accounting or Economics. An advanced degree highly preferable;
    • At least 6 years working experience 4 of which should be in a similar role OR 4 years experience in telecommunication industry 2 of which should be on a similar role.
    • Good experience in creating advanced presentations using MS power point.
    • Good experience in other MS office tools particularly advanced Excel and any other data analytical tools;
    • Detail oriented and able to ensure the highest level of accuracy in data mining, analysis and feedback;
    • Strong System savvy and willing to try new ideas and problem solving approaches;
    • Strong analytical skills with a strong capability to develop and analyze complex data sets and understand their significance to customer care;
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

    Home & Content HOD

    Reporting to the Director Commercial Business Unit; the job holder will develop and execute Safaricom’s Internet and Content business towards achievement of targeted business objectives and leadership in the market place

    Duties for the Home & Content HOD Job

    • Drive internet content and innovation.
    • Ensure that the Safaricom internet content platforms have up to date content in line with the regulatory guideline.
    • Identify and execute strategic partnerships to acquire compelling content, features, and online tools that support the website strategy.
    • Develop an online strategy that supports the company’s overall goals and oversee all aspects of its implementation.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and execute strategies that take advantage of these opportunities.
    • In liaison with the various stakeholders, i.e. Value Added Services, VAS Technical, marketing, and IT teams, spearhead the development of Innovative content which are relevant to Safaricom subscribers.
    • Alert stakeholders of emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into our operations and activities
    • Delivery of content products roadmap, internet strategy and revenues
    • On development of propositions, ensure a clear cut roadmap is provided to all stakeholders.
    • Manage website development to incorporate new features and functionality.
    • Develop, expand, and manage current site designs and lead appropriate redesigns when needed.
    • Develop and manage the sections entire budget, including website development and maintenance, outreach and promotion, personnel and operations and oversee the performance measurement and talent nomination process as well as implementation of reward and recognition activities

    Home & Content HOD Job Requirements

    • A BSC or Social Science Degree from a recognized university will be an added advantage
    • Over 8 Years leadership experience in mobile telephony industry
    • Online experience, including managing strategy development, content acquisition, and website development.
    • Conversant with Safaricom/telecommunication data products.
    • Solid management experience and track record in motivating and building strong teams
    • Experience enabling strong interdepartmental relationships
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and a proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
