    Country Brand Manager

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Development of all marketing and promotional activities for the allocated brands and portfolios, with the main objective of ensuring that the best strategies and tools are made available to all customer facing colleagues, that allows for maximum patient impact. Ensure that the strategies encompass all sectors (private & public) and channels of distribution.

    Responsibilities

    • Financial
    • Deliver on revenue and IBA of brands and portfolios within the scope of management
      • Ensure high integrity and accuracy of forecasts
      • Ensure mitigation plans are developed, as required, to reach financial objectives
      • Work with GSC (demand planning) to optimize brand forecasts and reduce obsolescence
    • Manage expense budgets
    • DME Budgets (Direct Marketing Expenses/ including A&P) -Set up; monitor and track ROI of marketing expenditure and programs
    • Manage OME (other marketing expense) budgets, allocated for T&E (Travel and Entertainment)
    • Brand/TA/Channel management, strategy and tactical plan development
    • Development of strategies, promotional campaigns and programs, through maximizing customer insights and ensuring maximum patient impact
      • Align to global strategies as appropriate
      • Provide accurate analysis of data for each brand, to support proposed strategy
      • Ensure the brands are being managed according to life cycle requirements
      • Take responsibility for brand requirements in the various channels and deliver the correct content to fulfill the promotional requirements within those channels (eg: script generation at doctor level, retail messaging etc)
    • Develop plans and core materials in line with the tactical plan (supporting the channel strategies)
      • Drive cross-functional brand leadership through the core brand team
      • Take accountibility for ensuring that all content and/or promotion materials and items for promotional purposes are delivered timeously
    • Review pricing and make recommendations for yearly SEP increases; tender opportunities and price reduction - depending on market dynamics, working closely with H&V (Health and Value function, who oversee pricing)
    • Advance proposals for major strategy change to senior management
    • Alignment across functions and stakeholder management:
    • Align key internal stakeholders - medical, marketing, management, SMS (Sales and Marketing Services), sales, H&V/ Access; Legal and BA - to drive business objectives, develop strategies and tactics for the brand and/ or TA
      • Lead the efforts to understand and address opportunities and challenges
      • Establish effective peer relationships and strong cross-functional collaboration and communication
    • Collaborate with sales to roll out and drive effective execution of campaigns and programs
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with identified opinion leaders (private and public sectors)
    • Vendor management (in accordance with policy)

    • Revenue adjustments, as needed for LEs (latest estimates), with sales, business finance and manager
    • KOL development - in conjunction with sales and medical
    • On-boarding of new PSRs and identifying upskilling requirements with market changes - training and medical

    Key Account Manager, Oncology

    Job Purpose

    • Reinforce Pfizer's presence and commitment to Oncology as well as primary oncology point of contact for the market.
    • Develop and sustain healthy business relationship with corporate clients and institutions through customer engagement and account management to drive Pfizer product portfolio uptake in these organizations through well designed and implemented quality-based health initiatives/programs and activities geared towards increased disease awareness while providing treatment or management options.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Business/Account Management
    • Develop and communicate objectives (both financial and non-financial) in alignment with the overall Pfizer East Africa and Pfizer Oncology strategic objectives.
    • Develop strategies/tactics and performance metrics based on customer/account/market insight with support from marketing to deliver on agreed objectives.
    • Implement agreed plans to deliver on business objectives for all accounts being managed as well seek new opportunities
    • Deliver customer service with focus on patient First and a drive to deliver on a very positive customer experience.
    • Monitor Performance metrics and constant review strategies/tactics and take corrective actions where required
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationship and network across all channels and different levels of the organizations to ensure availability of Pfizer products at customer level.
    • Ensure compliance to Pfizer policy and procedure to drive a culture of integrity.
    • Establish effective relationships and collaboration with internal stakeholders including sales teams, enabling and platform functions, ensuring efforts are aligned to optimize business performance.
    • Ensure use of available Pfizer tools to solicit feedback from customers
    • Must be current with trends and development in oncology in the market to enable valuable input into business decisions.
    • Possess an understanding of Pfizer Access especially as it relates to Pfizer oncology products with strong support from Health & Value.

    External Stakeholder Relationship management

    • Engage Governments and other agencies in useful dialogue that will lead to establishment of some partnership involving one or more of our products uptake.
    • Must through in-depth analysis of the health care delivery systems in East Africa display a clear understanding Oncology group practices as well as other key stakeholders/influencers within the oncology space
    • Approach and secure partnership with both local and international NGOs, HMOs etc. for the choice use of Pfizer products in special disease eradication programs
    • Monitor and influence positively health or drug related policies from the ministries of health across the region to remain competitive both in the private or public markets.
    • Must have very good knowledge of the disease area as well as Pfizer product information and resources to facilitate valuable communication with stakeholders within and outside the organization / Oncology account.
    • Ensure all interactions and plans are in alignment to Pfizer Compliance standards and regulations within the East Africa geography.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum of Bachelor of pharmacy degree or a biological Sciences background. (An MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage)
    • At least 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry 3 of which must be in sales or Account management
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of East Africa healthcare environment
    • Demonstrate good understanding of the Oncology therapeutic area and the oncology market
    • Demonstrate experience of complex scientific health related concepts and presenting to various professionals
    • Demonstrated the ability to influence senior level leadership and multiple stakeholders as well as effectively collaborate across cross function teams
    • Demonstrate strong business and financial Acumen
    • Experience in project management
