    Merchant Acquiring Key Account Manager

    Position reports to Head of Acquiring;

    The Merchant Acquiring Key Account Manager is a Head Office based role and charged with the responsibility of overseeing key POS and EazzyPay merchant relationships. The holder also ensures maximum support to the Merchants for maximum benefit to the Merchant and Bank.

    The Key Account Manager builds strong relationships with the merchants and regularly interacts with them constantly picking their needs and liaising with all internal stakeholders to provide them relevant solutions.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Grow and develop acquiring business from existing Key Merchants
    • Drive aggressive recruitment of New Key Merchants to generate new business
    • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between Key Merchants and the Bank
    • Develop a complete understanding of Key Merchants’ needs and resolve their complaints/issues
    • Cross selling bank products by linking product sales to identifiable business needs and meeting them through working closely with other depts.
    • Develop and implement new and existing business development strategies to ensure that set targets are achieved
    • Primary contact person for Key Merchants
    •  Ensure 100% compliance to the Bank’s policies and procedures
    • Any other duty assigned by the team leader from time to time

     

    Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and experience

     

    • Degree certificate or a Masters in a business related field.
    • Holders of a marketing related professional qualification will have an added advantage
    • At least 8 years of working experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, 4 of which must be in a supervisory role
    • Experience in Card and Mobile telephony business will be an added advantage
    • Effective writing and presentation skills in English
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Product Manager - EazzyPay

    Reporting to the Head of Acquiring, the product manager will be responsible for Recruiting EazzyPay merchants, identifying needs for EazzyPay merchants and clients, conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, pricing, and go to market planning.

    Product Manager Job Responsibilities

    • Own EazzyPay targets and delivery of the same
    • To provide leadership over the sales team.
    • Determine EazzyPay customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
    • Articulate market requirements, consumer trends and opportunities for EazzyPay clients.
    • Identify opportunities for EazzyPay products and services innovation and enhancements
    • Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products within payments and financial services industry.
    • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future EazzyPay products and services by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.
    • Bring new EazzyPay verticals to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs.
    • Define the long term strategy of EazzyPay and create product road map
    • Prepare EazzyPay product and services documents including Market Requirement documents and product use cases to drive product activity
    •  Develop pricing strategies and product policies
    • Provide technical & thought leadership throughout various stages of solution lifecycle – planning, design, specification, implementation and launch
    • Create user cases and detailed product roadmap documents to articulate desired features and functionalities to Developers and Designers
    • Manage EazzyPay product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users
    • Co-ordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback
    • Use market feedback to inform EazzyPay product refinements and ongoing development
    •  Build awareness and understanding of EazzyPay across the company – be EazzyPay products and services ‘evangelist’
    • Track and analyze metrics compared to industry benchmarks, publish reports on product performance, trends and risks/opportunities for both short and long term;
    • Support teams that track and manage business case metrics and financial planning models ensuring that product delivery stays on track and on budget;
    • Monitor impact of product features on key metrics.

    Requirements for the EazzyPay Product Manager Job

    • A degree or masters in either Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or any other related field.
    • At least 8 years of working experience in a sales position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the line of Product Management, Sales, Product Development or Business Development.
    • Proven ability to manage and lead teams.
    • A suitable candidate will also have had experience evaluating product/market situations and analyzing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches.
    • Broad understanding of Payment services processes and inter-dependencies. Relevant experience working in retail banking, payments, e/m-commerce, online and mobile platforms
    • Related experience in digital payments product conceptualization, solution design/architecture and development, preferably in financial services or the bankcard industry
    • In-depth knowledge of the payments business coupled with the ability to translate customers’ needs into scalable product designs
    • Proven track record in working collaboratively across functional areas to drive results – can interact effectively with representatives from Technology, sales, marketing, Operations etc.
    •  Ability to identify and drive forward new opportunity into a business or product.
    • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and competitive landscape
    • Expertise in applying product development concepts and practices across the product development life cycle
    • Team player, Structured thinker, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to create compelling presentations
    • Thorough understanding of financial modeling and forecasting.
