    Hotel Reservationist

    • To deal with all guest enquiries, questions and requirements for reservationist of Hotel rooms in helpful and speedy manner.
    • To support the Sales department in ensuring that the Hotel room sales has reached the required level.

    Indicators Of Good Performance On The Job

    • Dealing with guests over the telephone effectively.
    • Taking and inputting reservations appropriately.
    • Negotiating rates in hotels adequately.
    • Maximizing revenue creation through up selling, or offering a more expensive room to the customer.

    Hotel Reservationist Job Responsibilities

    • To efficiently and politely deal with all telephone, email, internet and ‘in person’ enquiries.
    • To ensure that all reservations are recorded following established procedures with full and clear information and that they are input accurately and promptly onto the system.
    • To maximize revenue creation by converting enquiries, recognising business prospects and taking every opportunity to up sell.
    • To liaise with all departments to ensure the best service is provided to our customers.
    • To create daily floor sheets detailing reservations.
    • To have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the operation of the business including all food and drink menus and ensure effective response to customer enquiries.
    • To resolve guest problems and complaints as appropriately and professionally as possible.
    • And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications for the Hotel Reservationist Job

    • Diploma Sales & Marketing
    • IT literacy, with experience of packages such as Excel, Fidelio, MS Word etc
    • 3 years experience in Hotel softwares and functionality.
