Engineering Coordinator at Intercontinental Hotel Group

 

As an Engineering Coordinator you will be:

• Responsible for maintaining a logical records/ filing system for the department
• Co-ordinate work requests through communicating with the other departments
• Log maintenance requests into the maintenance system-QEMS
• Purchase requisition initiation
• Assist the Chief Engineer in processing of invoices and cost tracking for the department
• Coordinate Employee Engagement Survey and follow up on action points raised in the department
• Coordinate pest control in the hotel by contractor as per agreed schedule
• Assist the engineer with productivity tracking
• Convenes/attends engineering departmental meetings.
• Maintain and enhance good working relationship with hotel staff, guests and suppliers.
• Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
• Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
• Order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager.
• Coordinates timely application and renewal of statutory licences and permits

 

Ideally you will have:

• Degree in Business Administration
• At least two years relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Excellent Organizational skills
