    Description

Currently the Bank is seeking additional talent to serve in the role outlined below.

    The role-holder works with other HR teams to plan, develop, and implement transactional HR Service excellence and employees experience interventions.

    Responsibilities include;

    • To formulate, develop, and update HR Personnel Administration processes, procedures, and forms in order to optimize the efficiency and reliability of HR administration service delivery.
    • Periodically conduct a requirements analysis to justify and support the development of new and enhanced information systems to improve HR Technology functionality, including Manager self-service and Employee self-service.
    • Lead the HR Information (HRIS) team in providing functional input needed by the IT function to evaluate continuing needs for hardware, software, databases, and operating systems, and further carry out detailed evaluations of operating systems, commercial software and programming utilities.
    • Initiate, formulate and/or contribute to the design of new HR policies based on insights arising from Management and Staff feedback
    • Provide inputs to the design of compensation and benefit policies and procedures including the definition of the set of compensation & benefits rules applicable to new subsidiaries.
    • Escalate and provide advice to the HR Business Partners on staff grievances and concerns emerging through Shared Services Employee Outreach work.
    • Supervise the overall administration of employee benefits of the Bank including the medical and the staff retirement plans.
    • Prepare staff communication and process individual decisions regarding administration of staff employment contracting, career movements and separation in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Lead the processing of staff remuneration, benefits, and employment contracts with the Bank in line with policies and procedures in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Ensure that the division team provides consistent and efficient customer service to all employees based on the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Management of Employee Records, individual staff-related documents, correspondence, circulars, policy documents, etc., and the adoption of good productivity enhancing processes like TQM and Six Sigma to enable easy and timely retrieval.
    • Steward HR Big Data management and design a variety of HR analytical reports/dashboards relating to various HR areas (Recruitment, Career Development, Workforce Planning, Performance Management, etc.…) to inform Line Management and HR Decision making.  
    • Carrying out periodic Client (Employee) Satisfaction Surveys to inform HR Service Delivery improvement plans.
    • Manage an Employee Call Centre/Help Desk to receive and track Staff Requests/Queries for good employee experience.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s University degree of its equivalent and relevant professional qualification in Human Resources Management.
    • Eight years of professional exposure in an HR department, with at least 4 years as in Shared services.
    • Demonstrated experience in use of ERP HR Information systems,
    • Member of IHRM and/or a similar renowned HR professional body.

    Skills/Experience Required

    • Proven experience in demonstrating high levels of reliability and professional conduct
    • Skills in exercising initiative, sound judgement, discretion, decision making, and organizational skills to achieve assigned goals
    • Must be articulate, have strong oral and written communication skills, and a professional demeanor
    • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and trust
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to interact and develop relationships with all levels of the organization
    • Strong attention to detail, follow up, and organizational skills
