Waiter / Waitress - Restaurant at Nexus Staffing Solutions

Our client, a busy restaurant in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, is looking for two friendly, energetic and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to join their service team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing efficient and professional service while ensuring customers have a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to customers professionally. 
• Present menus and explain available food and beverage options. 
• Take customer orders accurately. 
• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and cashier. 
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally. 
• Check on customers to ensure satisfaction. 
• Respond to customer requests and concerns appropriately. 
• Clear and reset tables promptly. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas. 
• Assist with opening and closing duties. 
• Support the team during busy service periods. 
• Follow restaurant hygiene, service and customer-care standards. 

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar hospitality role is preferred. 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
• Friendly, energetic and professional personality. 
• Good listening and order-taking skills. 
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure. 
• Good knowledge of restaurant hygiene and service standards. 
• Good personal presentation. 
• Team-oriented and reliable. 
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
