    Sacco Information Systems Administrator

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Managing network infrastructure, servers and system backups.
    • Implementing cybersecurity measures to safeguard member data and transactions.
    • Overseeing the Sacco’s core banking system, ensuring seamless operation and security.
    • Providing technical support to staff and resolving IT-related issues promptly.
    • Maintaining and updating Sacco management software for efficiency and compliance.
    • Monitoring and improving system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Managing user accounts, access rights and data security policies.
    • Coordinating with vendors for hardware, software and IT service maintenance.

    Minimum Qualifications & Attributes

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
    • Professional Certifications in Microsoft, Fortinet, CompTIA.
    • Be a member of a professional body.
    • Experience with Sacco Core Banking Systems.
    • Strong understanding of database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
    • Knowledge of network administration, firewall management and cybersecurity.
    • Familiarity with mobile and digital banking integrations.
    • Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and provide timely support.
    • At least 3–5 years’ experience in IT administration, preferably in a Sacco or financial institution.

    Sacco Loan Issuance Officer

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Receive, verify, and process loan applications.
    • Conduct comprehensive credit appraisals and assess members’ repayment capacity.
    • Verify member eligibility based on deposits, income, guarantors, credit history and other criteria in the credit policy.
    • Prepare loan appraisal reports and recommendations for approval.
    • Ensure all loan documentation is complete and compliant before disbursement.
    • Process approved loans within the agreed turnaround time.
    • Ensure compliance with the Sacco Credit Policy, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
    • Identify and escalate high-risk loan applications.
    • Provide members with accurate information on loan products and repayment terms.
    • Maintain complete and accurate loan records.
    • Support branch loan growth through member engagement and product promotion.
    • Prepare periodic reports on loan processing and portfolio performance.

    Minimum Qualifications & Attributes

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in credit administration, loan appraisal, or lending within a Sacco, microfinance institution, or commercial bank.
    • Sound knowledge of credit appraisal techniques and lending principles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Sacco/Core Banking systems.
    • Professional qualifications in Credit Management will be an added advantage.

    Portfolio Manager – Alternative Investments(CISL)

    The Role

    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    • Offer support in alternative investments sourcing, monitoring and reporting across all CISL mandates.
    • Create, manage and offer support in reporting for suitable Special Funds for both Retail and Corporate clients.
    • Ensure outperformance and compliance across all the Special Funds under CISL Management.
    • Actively lead engagements with clients in their alternative investment activities and maximize returns for assets under management through the analysis of alternatives efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance.
    • Work closely with various alternative investments service providers and consultants to provide direction and oversight of business plans and asset strategies for alternative investments.
    • Create and maintain appropriate alternative investment performance evaluation metrics and reports as well as evaluating the suitability of existing and proposed client investments.
    • Provide pre-acquisition input in the due diligence process including review of financial and operating assumptions; model full life cycle financial analysis for each alternative asset from acquisition to disposal; and manage the integration of assets post-investment.
    • Lead and drive engagements with relevant regulators and alternative investment professionals for purposes of product design, development and compliance.
    • Ensure that all risk management requirements within your remit are addressed and where necessary escalated through the available defined channels.
    • Research and give viable proposals to changes in the Alternative investments space in discussion with CIO CISL / respective client Boards.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field.
    • Professional Certification — Must be a registered & practicing member of ICIFA.
    • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or CAIA will be an added advantage.
    • Understanding of Alternative Investments as an Asset Class and Special Funds as an Investment Product.
    • Understanding of marketing and customer service principles coupled with knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
    • Personal organization and thoroughness coupled with the ability to work under minimum supervision with good judgement and decision-making skills.
    • Pro-active in problem solving coupled with the ability to work under own initiative.
    • Good attention to detail, an ability to see the bigger picture and a head for figures, margins, budgets, and revenue.
    • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, develop and leverage mutually beneficial relationships.
