    Associate General Manager

    Job Details

    To provide advocacy for all claims with special emphasis on large, complex and contentious to ensure excellent outcomes for Minet Kenya Clientele.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor all claims for Minet Risk Solutions
    • Ensure clients receive regular reports on their claim’s status
    • Solve complex or disputed claims in liaison with the Director
    • Generate loss ratios
    • Assist clients in the preparation of documents of major or complex claims
    • Provide monthly updates to Client Service Support Team on all outstanding claims
    • Provide feedback/recommendation on Insurance cover for cases that have specialized requirements
    • Engage risk team in root cause analysis
    • Hold monthly meetings with main carriers and identify difficult carriers
    • Ensure that no business is lost on account of poor claims service

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field, Diploma in ACII with at least 8 years experience, 5 of which should be in senior management in claims
    • Enthusiastic and highly motivated person with the ability to interact at all levels
    • Excellent communication and strong project management skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to motivate a team

    Senior Broker

    Job Details

    • Management of the claims processing, keenly checking and following up for timely settlement by the reinsurers.
    • Sustained vibrant of Reinsurance within and outside Minet
    • Timely processing of acceptances and closings into the system
    • Credit control of debtors in line with the company’s credit policy
    • To ensure proper operation of reinsurance business; underwriting, technical accounts, invoicing, premium collection and reconciliation, client account servicing, claims, marketing.
    • Source and grow treaty and facultative business in the market in line with the company’s strategic goals
    • Ensure issuance of reinsurance slips, correctly and timely and duly returned from the markets upon execution
    • Accurate and timely processing of quarterly treaty returns/accounts
    • Invoicing and timely submission of debit notes and credit notes to the cedants and reinsurers respectively

    Qualifications

    • University degree in insurance, business or related field
    • Minimum Dip CII / Dip IIK – Professional qualifications
    • 5 years’ experience and proven track record in a busy reinsurance environment within the industry
    • Strong relationships with insurers in the industry
    • Proven leadership skill, people management skill, general management, presentation and influencing skill, analytical and decision-making skill
    • Team player and good communicator

    Retail Associate General Manager

    Job Details

    • To provide leadership to the Retail department to achieve business objectives.
    • Responsible for the departments P&L, ensuring above target on operating income and contain operating expenses
    • New business generation and renewal of existing clients
    • Provide leadership to Retail Team by building a competent, efficient, and motivated workforce
    • Ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of services and products provided by Retail Team
    • Oversee the management and use of Minet Risk Services’ assets and financial resources in order to maximize investments and increase efficiency

    Qualifications

    • Strong and proven managerial and leadership skills including; Organizational and analytical skills, Interpersonal and communication skills, people management skills, flexibility and adaptability, planning skills, budgeting skills, team building skills, analytical skills and time management skills and detail oriented
    • Experience and competence in identifying measures of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

    Branch Manager(Coast Region)

    Job Details

    Revenue generation and business growth to maintain existing business and acquire new business and grow Minet’s market share. The purpose is to ensure delivery of insurance solutions to our customers in the most effective and efficient manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee & ensure smooth running of the day to day operations at the branch
    • Client Relationship Management
    • Co-ordinate branch activities and keep the head offices abreast of happenings at the branch
    • Prepare branch budget and present to the director
    • Provide branch divisional reports for the monthly divisional board meetings
    • Identify regional prospects & target them with appropriate insurance solutions
    • Promote and market Minet’s Products in the region
    • Maintain branch costs within budget
    • Actively develop and document team members’ skills and performance through coaching and training
    • Monitor financial targets for all technical staff and support them to achieve 100%
    • Performing performance appraisals for the branch staff
    • Perform any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Insurance
    • Professional qualification in ACII or equivalent
    • 6 years relevant experience with at least 3 years experience at supervisory level
    • Experience in the use of specific type of procedure and data production methods using appropriate technology
    • Ability to supervise a team and deliver well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to motivate a team
