    Business Development Officer

    Reporting to the Managing Director, the purpose of this position will be to acquire new clients and driving sales for the Company products and services. The position will also be responsible for ensuring increased and consistent revenue generation to position Virtual Human Resources Services as the leading human resource consulting company locally and internationally.

    Business Development Officer Job Accountabilities

    • Preparing a marketing strategy which covers key marketing messages and competitor analysis
    • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programs that will lead to business development
    • Building and promoting strong, long – lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
    • Marketing and promoting Virtual HR Products and Services by using all necessary platforms and meeting set targets
    • Planning and scheduling for client meetings, preparing and presenting proposals and attending marketing meetings
    • Generating leads and closing deals with new and existing clients
    • Developing HR Consultancy proposals and agreements
    • Sourcing for tenders, prequalification and follow up

    Qualifications for the Business Development Officer Job

    • A Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field
    • Minimum of 4 years sales experience with at least 2 years in a service industry
    • Ability to operate in a performance driven organization
    • Good communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent planning and organization skills

    Commercial Manager

    The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the business, to grow its sales and manage costs as per the budgets approved by the Board of Directors.

    Commercial Manager Job Accountabilities

    Leadership:

    • Responsibility for developing and executing the strategic direction of the Company
    • Providing proactive leadership to the teams
    • Attracting and retaining high quality effective staff
    • Set KPIs for all staff, and appraise them effectively
    • Responsible for overall staff motivation

    Sales and business development:

    • Actively managing the sales team to set achievable daily, weekly and monthly KPIs and ensure that they are met
    • Ensuring the sales team has effective incentive structures
    • Have a handle on direct costs to enable the sales team to give discounts and promotions, while ensuring that the average gross profits are maintained within the signed budget.
    • Use innovative methods to increase number of faces occupied by each client

    Finance:

    • Have overall responsibility of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for the business
    • Responsible for ensuring monthly management accounts are shared with the Board Provides overall direction to the Finance Manager with respect to the budget

    Operations

    • Responsible for ensuring a pipeline of good quality billboard locations, which will achieve over 80% occupancy
    • Ensure that billboard installation, flighting, deflighting, transportation and other critical operational aspects of the company are working efficiently
    • Responsible for the smooth running of all departments

    Qualifications for the Commercial Manager Job

    • Bachelor’s degree preferably augmented with a post-graduate diploma or MBA
    • Has 5 – 10 years of commercial experience, of which 3 years must be in a senior management role
    • Track record in selling billboard space or other real estate space
    • Should have a solid network within the advertising agencies and key marketing players in Kenya
