    Branch Business Consultant

    Reporting To: Branch Business Manager

    Overall Job Purpose

    The Branch Business Consultant will be responsible for selling Liabilities and Assets in order to grow the Branch Business.

    Principle Accountabilities

    • Actively seek to grow the portfolio allocated and cross sell to ensure delivery of set targets.
    • Have an understanding of all retail and Business banking products that could satisfy customer requirements.
    • Ensure customers receive exceptional service by identifying and meeting their needs through provision of a range of products and services.
    • Based on leads referred from within the branch and other sources such as listings, contact potential new customers and offer them packaged financial solutions based on assessment of their needs.
    • Action any complaint received in accordance with procedures and SLA’s.
    • Ensure accuracy of each new account application, loan document, mandate changes etc. Branch Business consultants will be held personally accountable for accuracy and quality of applications they submit.
    • Follow end to end on account opening and loan processing. Escalate any items that exceed the agreed service level time lines or where there are unsolved KYC requirements to the Branch Business Manager.
    • Achieve individual sales and service targets and support the achievement of team targets

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • A Business related degree from a reputable institution
    • Atleast 3 years in the Banking Industry
    • Strong appreciation of banking Products.

    Key Competencies and Skills

    • Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
    • Excellent selling skills and negotiation skills
    • Practical experiences in use of MS Office applications.
    • Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills (both oral and written).
    • Results oriented, problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated good planning and organizational skills.
    • Good listening skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Must be a team player and have integrity.

    Customer Service Officer

    Reporting To: Branch Operations Manager

    Overall Job Purpose

    The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction through quick resolution/escalation of customer queries in order to ensure customer retention.

    Principle Accountabilities

    • To manage queues by constantly monitoring customers wait time so as to ensure timely customer service.
    • To offer excellent customer service through quick resolution/escalation of customers queries in order to ensure customer retention
    • To collate customer feedback through interviews and customer feedback forms to ensure that we meet customer expectations.
    • To Issue ATM Cards and cheques by recording to ensure safe custody and timely delivery to customers
    • To avail product Brochure/Marketing materials and stationery for the customers by constantly replenishing the banking hall in order to ensure adequate products information to the customers.

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • A business related degree from a reputable institution.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in teller duties, customer service & bank back-office operations.

    • Practical experiences in use of MS Office applications.
    • Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.

    Branch Operations Manager

    Reporting To: Branch Business Manager

    Overall Job Purpose

    The Branch Operations Manager will be responsible for managing branch operations by ensuring controls and procedures are observed in order to mitigate risk and losses.

    Principle Accountabilities

    • Manage cash by ensuring dual controls and limits are observed so as to avoid fraud losses.
    • Approve transactions by confirming suitability to minimize losses
    • Review transactions by confirming the transactions against system generated reports to ensure accuracy
    • Manage customers accounts by ensuring adherence to product features to minimize customers complaints and loses.
    • Attend to customers queries by ensuring that they are resolved within set standards to enhance customer satisfaction
    • Appraise staff by half-yearly reviews to ensure targets are met and training needs identified.
    • Manage costs by monitoring Branch expenditures to ensure Branch is within the budget

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • A business related degree from a reputable institution, Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
    • Professional qualifications- AKIB/ CPA/ACCA.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the Banking Industry especially at the branch management level.
    • Strong appreciation of banking operations and product knowledge.

    Branch Business Manager

    Reporting To: Regional Branch Business Manager

    Overall Job Purpose

    The Branch Business Manager will be responsible for mobilising deposits and growing asset book while ensuring compliance to laid down policies and procedures for purposes of effective and efficient management of branch resources and maximising branch profitability and Customer Service.

    Principle Accountabilities

    • Achieve growth of the branch asset and liability book to ensure growth of the branch and increase profits.
    • Oversee the operations of the branch to ensure compliance of laid down policies and procedures.
    • Directing, motivating and developing staff so as to ensure a branch succession plan for branch continuity is in place.
    • Appraising and reviewing of staff performance so that branch strategies are accomplished.
    • Safeguard and oversee the effective and efficient use of branch assets so that set budgets are adhered to.
    • Setting branch strategies in line with company strategy and preparation of relevant reports to monitor and review performance.

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • A business related degree from a reputable institution, Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
    • Professional qualifications- AKIB/ CPA/ACCA.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in management within the Banking Industry and specifically Branch Management experience.
    • Strong credit underwriting skills.
    • Strong appreciation of banking operations, corporate, treasury, retail and transactional banking.
