Job Role Description

Develop and maintain software systems that support our client’s operations to deliver fast reliable and secure customer experience both in Kenya and Tanzania.

Functions/Key Responsibilities

• Build, own, and maintain substantial portions of the core software platform and the integrations with third-party systems.
• Develop design documents, perform code reviews, and contribute to implementation decisions.
• Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, and Services) to ship scalable software solutions.
• Continually improve our codebase with clean and efficient code as well as solve problems using the most appropriate technology.
• Enhance development processes and toolchain to move towards CI/CD (continuous integration and delivery)

Key Capabilities

• Experience developing web front ends using PHP, HTML, and CSS
• Developed and launched applications on Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure), especially using microservices architectures
• Experience with designing tables/schemas in relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB)
• Working knowledge of REST API development for mobile/web use
• Expert proficiency in Agile development process
• Ability to work in a distributed team
• Working Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) would be advantageous.
• Basic Understanding of Information Security
• Demonstrated understanding of UI design principles
• Enthusiasm to continually improve skills and learn new technologies
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili

Academic Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
• Qualifications in one or more software languages
• AWS qualifications is an advantage.

Previous Relevant Work Experience Required.

• 5+ years coding in one of the following languages: Node, JS

Duties And Responsibilities

• Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying sub-flooring and installing walls and roofing systems
• Fitting and installing trim, doors, stairs, molding and hardware
• Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes
• Repairing and renovating wooden structures
• Preparing cost estimates for clients
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

• Government trade test in Carpentry or equivalent
• Minimum Form 4 certificate
• Basic knowledge of other civil trades thorough knowledge on technical specifications of wood, adhesives, glass, ironmongery, and related materials’ safe application and storage,
• Basic knowledge with function and maintenance of other civil trades (Masonry, Panting & decoration)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, high integrity and reliability
• Very good organizational and analytical skills. Ability to overcome performance barriers. Willingness to learn & teach
• Ability to work long hours with minimal supervision has initiative and is proactive Capacity to manage several tasks and requests simultaneously Good grooming and self-presentation

Job Role Description

We are looking for an experienced plumber to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial structures. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with regulatory codes.

To be successful as a plumber you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people.

Roles and responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
• Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
• Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Handling customer queries and responding to call outs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• Preparing cost estimates.

Qualifications And Skills Required.

• Diploma or Certificate apprenticeship.
• 2+ years of experience as a plumber.
• Valid plumbing license.
• Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and patience.
• Physical dexterity.
