    Trainer, Port Operations & Logistics

    BMA/23/MTOT/POL/11: 

    Job specification: 
    Reporting to the Senior Trainer, the Trainer is responsible for training Students under the provisions of the respective School. The Trainer is responsible for the delivery of training programmes in adherence to the provisions of the Legal Notice No. 233 of 28th November 2018, and any other International Conventions and National Legislation relating to training in Port Operations and Logistics.

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: - 

    • Designing, developing and delivering of training programmes 
    • The development of Maritime Transport Operations Training policies

    Legal Services Officer

    Job Specification: 
     
    Reporting to the Senior Legal Services Officer, the job holder is responsible for assisting in monitoring compliance with the legislation and regulatory framework including providing advice to the Academy in adherence to the provisions of the Legal notice 233 of 28th November 2018.
     
    Duties and Responsibilities: 
     
    The Legal Services Officer will be assisting in: -

    • Preparing legal briefs for the initiation of legal action
    • Issuance of licensee or certificates in terms of ship registration/licensing
    • Preparing and interpreting legal opinions and offering guidance on legal requirements
    • Prosecuting for and represent the Academy in law courts and quasi-judicial tribunals
