    Senior Relationship Officer-Chama and Sacco Banking

    Job Description

    1. Recruitment of new Chama’s and individual customers.
    2. Deposit mobilization both from Chamas, Sacco’s, different entities and individuals.
    3. Appraise loan proposals for Chamas and Saccos customers and submit for review, approval and disbursement
    4. Customer portfolio management
    5. Maintaining quality loan book
    6. Attending to Chama and Sacco meetings to cascade bank products and services
    7. Cross-selling of other bank products and services
    8. Liaison with the communities including barazas to bring Rafiki bank brand awareness
    9. Respond to queries related to Chama and Sacco business and timely resolving of customer issues
    10. Offering good customer service to all clients.
    11. Any other official duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Key Competencies, Skills, qualification and Experience

    • 3-4 years’ experience in business development in a financial institution
    • Experience in handling Chamas will be an added advantage

    Business Development Representative

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Generating new business through visiting potential customers to prospect for business.
    2. Actively take part in sales activities organized by the Bank to acquire the business.
    3. Offer excellent customer experience while interacting with customers on different channels.
    4. Gather feedback from customers on Bank products and services to inform improvement decisions.
    5. Daily reporting on business acquisition/sales activities
    6. Continuously seek to deepen knowledge of the Bank’s offering and the Industry trends.
    7. Achieving sales targets within the set period i.e. in both volume and value
    8. Handling    customer    issues    and    complaints on allocated products
    9. Obtain  all  customer  information  and  documents  required  to open an account and ensure KYC compliance
    10. Preparing regular sales activity and performance reports as required.

    Knowledge and Experience required for this Role

    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
    • Should have a Diploma or degree in a business-related course
    • 6 months to 1 year experience in a sales role, preferably in a financial institution
    • Should be passionate about pursuing a sales and marketing career
    • Confident, Courageous and self-driven
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

    Relationship Manager- Liabilities

    Job Description

    1. Develop and nurture strategic relationships with the clients to ensure that the Bank maximizes on the Business potential/wallet size of the customer.
    2. Continually recommend improvements and adaptations to existing systems, processes, and structures in order to ensure current and future viability of the relationships.
    3. Acquire new corporate clients and continuous monitoring and nurturing of the relationships to ensure that clients are always satisfied with the Bank’s services and solutions.
    4. Develop and package winning value propositions targeting major relationships with huge potentials for cheap deposits, quality assets, and substantial non-funded revenues.
    5. Identify key contacts and key business influencers within the clients’ business and foster a relationship to ensure cutting edge information about the client’s business objectives, opportunities, and threats for proactive management.
    6. Develop an intimate understanding of the client’s industry and business; analyze their modus operandi, management practices, and market conditions affecting the long-term sustainability and viability of the business and sector.
    7. Introduce specialist skills on specific products and product mix at the appropriate time and level in order to create solutions that effectively satisfy client needs.
    8. Initiate and monitor customer/Bank contact at all levels, ensuring that customers enjoy the highest standards of service.
    9. Proactively monitor markets and pre-empt risks for both the Bank and the client with timely identification of potential problem accounts and formulating appropriate risk mitigating strategies.
    10. Keep abreast of developments in the market; be aware of and target projects to be carried out by parastatals, government ministries a developmental agency to onboard the projects accounts, the value chain accounts of the end beneficiaries, and related parties.
    11. Scope for and onboard collection business from cash-rich corporates with large collections volumes.
