    Program Officer – Mental Health - Nairobi

    Job purpose

    The Counseling Psychologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality counselling services to clients across diverse demographics. They will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing inclusive, and affirming therapy sessions and implementing personalized treatment plans to address various mental health concerns amongst the Gender and Sexual Diversities. Additionally, they will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to development and implementation of mental health programs.     Roles & Responsibilities

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical counselling, preferably in diverse settings.
    • Experience and training in project management will be an added advantage

    Senior Grants Officer

    SGFO/LVCT/12/2023

    Job purpose

    The primary responsibility of this role is to provide overall coordination of Vukisha95’s grants portfolio, overseeing the compliance with the various awards and Sub-award agreements requirements and LVCT Health policies. The officer will have a broad and deep understanding of the relevant donor rules and regulations and proactively identify compliance risks throughout the overall grant’s portfolio. In addition, S/He will work collaboratively with the LVCT Health HQ, ensuring that LVCT Health complies with the requirements of the various grants.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Prepare and submit approved monthly cash flow projections to the HQ by the 5th of every month
    • Take lead in compiling the monthly accruals for commitments at the end of each month for inclusion in the financial report including informing correct financial status of the Project.
    • Prepare monthly management financial reports for review by the FAM
    • Prepare various donor financial reports in accordance with the prescribed formats and reporting requirements
    • Provide support to the implementation teams understanding the Grant/Project Agreements and MoUs.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to develop skills and competencies
    • Oversee independent award monitoring of implementation, reporting and procurements to ensure compliance, completion and the application of best practices
    • Actively facilitate the development of LIPs financial system that will meet donor and LVCT Health requirements and provide the two-way flow of information between program management and partners to ensure responsible management
    • Participate in the initial evaluation of sub-grantees through pre-award assessments (OC&RA);

    • Take leadership in compilation of the monthly financial report ensuring accuracy and timely submission to FAM by 10th day of each month.

    Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field, Master’s Degree in relevant field an added advantage
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPAK)/Certified Financial analyst (CFA)/ACCA or any other relevant certification.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in NGO sector in Grants/Compliance Management positions, preferably in USG funded projects.
    • Experience in complex planning and budget processes including the ability to provide clear guidance on donor policies & procedures.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet time sensitive deadlines.
    • Up to date knowledge and understanding as well as experience in forecasting, negotiating, implementing the US Government funding.
