    • Giving theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization to trainees;
    • Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plan, lesson notes, trainees’ records teaching and learning materials;

    Senior Early Childhood Development and Education/ECDE Supervisor - 6 Posts

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Be a holder of at least a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education from a recognized institution;
    • Have knowledge experience and a distinguished career related to ECDE of not less than three (3) years;
    • A Degree in the relevant field applied for will be an added advantage;
    • Must be computer literate; and,

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Supervising ECDE teachers and caregivers in the zone(s);
    • Monitoring curriculum implementation at the zonal level;
    • Collecting, maintain and submitting ECDE statistical data to the sub county program officer;
    • Co-ordinating and liaising with the stakeholders in ECDE in the zone(s);
    • Supervising zone based programs that cater for the total development of children less than six (6) years; and,

    Director of Administration

    Duties and Responsibilities will entail:

    The Director of Administration will be responsible to the Chief Officer Devolution, Public Service and Administration for the overall management and coordination of work in the Administration Unit.

    Specific duties & responsibilities include:

    • Organization, direction, control and coordination of the functions of administration and public service in the county;
    • Initiating development of the appropriate County Departmental policies, legal and institutional frameworks for the implementation of the mandate of administration and public service;

    Requirements for Appointments

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen
    • Have vast knowledge and relevant work experience of 10 years in Public Service and Administration 5 of which must be at a managerial level or its equivalent
    • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration or Business Administration or Social Sciences from a University recognized in Kenya;
    • A Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Development Studies or Community Development will be a desirable Added Advantage from a recognized Institution;
    • Leadership/Management Course lasting not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution or its approved equivalent
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;

    Director of Human Resource Management

    Duties and Responsibilities will entail:

    Reporting to the County Chief Officer responsible for Devolution, Public Service and Administration. An officer at this level will be deployed at the Directorate of Human resource Management and Development and will be responsible for Human Resource Management for Planning, Organizing, Administration and Control of the entire Human resource function of the County.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    • Ensuring correct interpretation and implementation of human resource management policies, rules and regulations including those relating to pensions, salary administration, labour laws and other statutes that impact on the human resource
    • Advise and coordinate Human Resource Management activities/processes in the County including recruitment and retention, promotion, placements/deployments, capacity development of all staff, employee relations/staff welfare, discipline, remuneration; Processing cases for County Human Resource Management Advisory Committee and assisting in the implementation of the decisions thereof;
    • Making proposals on human resource planning and succession management;
    • Analyzing staff performance and career progression and making appropriate recommendations;
    • Preparation of Human Resource brief for policy decision;
    • Coordinate staff capacity development and performance management/ contracting;
    • Ensure proper application and interpretation of Human Resource Management policies, procedures system and regulations including pensions, salary administration labour laws and statutes that impact on Human Resource;
    • Handle labour relations and ensure compliance with the Kenya Labour Laws and Practices;
    • Mentor, counsel, coach team members or resolve interpersonal conflicts among individuals or team members.

    Requirements for Appointments

    • Must be a Kenyan Citizen;
    • Have vast knowledge and relevant work experience of 10 years in Human resource management, 3 years of which should be at senior Management level in a relevant and equivalent position either in the Public Service or Private Sector;
    • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification, from a recognized institution;
    • Master's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be a desirable added advantage
    • Must be a member in good standing with the Institute of Human Resource management of Kenya IHRM;
    • Senior Management Course lasting not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution or its approved equivalent
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
    • Certified Human Resource Management Professionals (CHRP) Certificate will be an added advantage.

    Assistant Director of Human Resource Management – Payroll Administration (County Payroll Manager)

    • Must be a member in good standing with the Institute of Human Resource management of Kenya IHRM;
    • Senior Management Course lasting not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution or its approved equivalent;

    Assistant Agriculture and Liaison Officer III - 2 Posts

    Duties and Responsibilities will entail:
    An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer

    • Support agriculture, extension and research liaison activities in the county;
    • Support farmers group, cooperative societies and product value addition facilities across the county;
    • Plain, coordinating and support agriculture research;
    • Support marketing intelligence and services
    • Carrying out practical demonstration relating to agriculture;
    • Accompanying extension teams during farm visits and farmer training;
    • Participating in field days and agriculture shows to disseminate agriculture technologies and information;

    Requirements for Appointments

    • Certificate in any of the following fields:- General Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Education and Extension or related training from a recognized Training Institution;
    • Specializations in Organic farming. Handling farmer group, sales and marketing working with research and inputs suppliers is an added advantage.
