    Storekeeper

    Job Purpose

    Ensure that goods are stocked correctly, issued as required and records kept up to date.

    Indicators Of Good Performance On The Job

    • Set minimum and maximum stock levels for all stock items are maintained
    • Purchase requisitions generated on time
    • Accurate stock records maintained and timely reports circulated
    • Safety and security standards achieved in the stores
    • Standing Operating Procedures (SOPS) adhered to at all times

    Storekeeper Job Responsibilities

    • Verify all deliveries against dispatch list/invoices and enter all goods received into the stock records.
    • Update the bin cards.
    • Ensure safe, proper and secure storage of goods.
    • Update daily stock summaries as needed and maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
    • Issue materials to kitchen and bar as per requisitions.
    • Ensure accuracy of requisitions filled.
    • Ensure that the stores carry the right quantities of provisions and monitor movements to avoid spoilage/expired/dead stock and stock outs.
    • Highlight /low stock situations for action by management.
    • Prepare purchase requests for provisions and operating equipment and forward to the Procurement Officer and follow up to ensure that the orders are filled in time.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly stores receipt, issues and order reports.
    • Prepare weekly reports on outstanding orders and follow up.
    • Participate in periodic (scheduled and adhoc) stock takes and respond to queries on variances.
    • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness within the store.
    • Monitor and check the temperatures of the freezers daily and highlight any significant changes to supervisor.
    • And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications for the Storekeeper Job

    • Diploma in store keeping and/or warehousing
    • Knowledge of Materials Control (MC) SYSTEM
    • O’ level with a good command of English
    • Minimum experience of 1-2 years in stores

    • Safety and quality awareness
    • Keen eye for detail and sound follow up skills
    • Good verbal and written communication
    • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
    • Honest, diligent and trustworthy.

    Housekeeping Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    To supervise housekeeping operations in a manner that ensures that service standards are met and customers are satisfied.

    Indicators Of Good Performance On The Job

    • Housekeeping Standards maintained
    • Hygiene and safety standards implemented and maintained
    • Accurate and timely reports
    • Accurate stock taking and returns
    • Breakages/losses kept to a minimum
    • Staff effectively supervised, trained and developed
    • Guest complaints kept at a minimum

    Housekeeping Supervisor Job Responsibilities

    • Implement housekeeping performance standards and other specifications in line with best practice and ensure compliance to such standards by the housekeeping team.
    • Implement standard operating procedures, review and initiate remedial action as and where needed.
    • Stay abreast of developments and trends in housekeeping and make recommendation for cost saving and service improvement initiatives
    • Requisition of cleaning materials, agents and guest supplies and continually monitor and control the usage
    • Report faults and/or repairs which require attention from Maintenance department and follow up to ensure appropriate timely repairs are undertaken.
    • Plan, organise, allocate and co-ordinate the work of the team
    • Carry out monthly stock takes, explain variances and file stock sheets
    • Report lost items to management and carry out first level of investigations
    • In liaison with the Maintenance Supervisor coordinate timely repairs and maintenance
    • Generate and file laundry summaries and housekeepers daily room report
    • Resolve customer complaints expeditiously reporting and escalating as necessary
    • Continually assess the competence of the team and offer coaching, support and training as needed
    • Lead, motivate, develop and control staff
    • Deputize the Executive Housekeeper
    • And any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Qualifications for the Housekeeping Supervisor Job

    • Diploma or a Certificate in Hotel and Institutional Housekeeping and Laundry from Utalii College or equivalent
    • 3 years experience in a housekeeping role
    • Ms Office Computer Skills
