Duma Works is recruiting an Assistant Sales Manager in Nairobi for Orana Kenya Ltd.

Orana is a globally recognized supplier of fruit based raw materials and a leading producer of natural extracts and fruit based food service products.

The company is looking for a humble, polite, well presented and pro-active sales individual.
The sales representative should know the East African food industry well, is coachable (willing to take direction, accept criticism, and be managed) but also wouldn’t fear to ask questions/clarification.

Job Responsibilities

• Business to business (B2B) sales.
• Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
• Prospecting and arranging meetings with potential customers.
• Acting as a contact between the company and potential markets.
• Administration duties such as filing and record keeping.

Requirements

• Pro-active, knows the East African food industry well, responsible.
• Minimum 2 years B2B sales experience
• Food science/food technology background
• Good administration/filing/record keeping
• Great communication, writing and customer relation skills.
• Willing to travel to EA and other African countries when needed
• Good links to HORECA market.
• Ability to make presentations.

Duma Works is recruiting a Liaison Officer in Nairobi for one of our clients; The hiring firm specializes in the trade of agricultural commodities in East Africa.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing a constant and efficient relationships with the NGO community;
• Providing NGOs with a one-stop communications service (via phone, email and through meetings);
• Ensuring bottlenecks experienced by NGOs are removed.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience in project management coupled with demonstrated coordination ability;
• Strong background in business and at least one year professional experience in the NGO sector where she or he demonstrated the ability to manage a complex multi-stakeholders environment;
• Good knowledge of Food Security efforts in Kenya and its context;
• Experience in NGO procurement and tendering processes would be an asset;
• Degree in sustainability development or related fields.
• 1 year or more working within or with NGOs
